|
|
I haven't actually gone completely through the steps of analyzing this idea, however, I think it is about time there was a direct opposite of Vampires. Just some sort of quest class for goodies.
It would probably be geared towards Paladins.
"Crusader"
The world is a dark place filled with a vileness that only the light can fill and cure. Crusaders, one step beyond Knights in their zeal, consider themselves the elite of the light. These warriors see the world in two ways; The Light and everyone else, hunting down and punishing anyone they can catch in dark pursuits. Crusaders epitomize solitary contemplation, leading completely separate lives from the common affiliations of the light.
And So on.. |

True, but like I said, I haven't actually followed most of this through to completion. I would like to see a quest class that is dedicated to being alone all of the time, with a few abilities thrown into the mix, fighting evil constantly. Even Neutrals who commit evil acts could be targets. |

That's an RP idea, not a quest class idea. Paladins have enough abilities that make them amazing solo that adding more would just overbalance them |

I've always thought there should be a paladin counterpart to the vampire quest class. My suggestion was 'Angel' but I never thought far enough to figure out skills/weaknesses. |

'Wrath of God' - Calls forth the power of the Creator to allow the Angel to slay any instantly. Does not definitely need 'Judge the Wicked' to work.
'Judge the Wicked' - Requisite for casting 'Wrath of God'. Angel sits down in meditation for a 24 hour period to pray for permission to slay the target.
'Temptation of Evil' - Automatically occurs when casting 'Wrath of God' with 'Judge the Wicked'. The Creator slays the Angel, permanently weakening them as well. |

Point taken jerks. However, I would like to see a light based quest class. (Just in case you missed that the first few times. *cough*) |

How about bringing Fell back as a quest race? Dav wanted some central theme to AR and since we had a successful run with the Fell War before I don't see why it can't happen again. In fact it would be a quest to reach Fell/Abyssal and an ultimate quest to reach Demon. |

I think vamps are pretty much the only quest class we need. We have a pretty small playerbase right now, and if we have 1-2 active vampires at all times (like now) that's great. After all, we don't want fells and screwy new paladins taking away from the cabals we already have. |

True rabid but we do need something new. We need a new age to go into. something where things are the same but at the same time not.
A few quests of kill these minons to weaking this master and other things to make it more interesting.
Thats my 1 1/2 cents |

Good rational... there've been so many times that Burzuk shot down new things for the sake of being new. |

I was going to post a topic anyways around Vampires so instead I'll just piggyback on this one.
What's with Vampires? Is it immortals playing them? The help files don't give much info. In fact they seem a bit confusing...how does one get fighting experience at level 50 but stay at level 30 to become a Vampire, without OOC coming into it?
Are the Paladin spells/skills that seem to focus on killing Vampires (e.g. Stake) really just for killing vamps? Seems like a wasted skill if that's the case...but I'm surely missing something. |

Its really simple. The immortals are the ones who make you a vampire. They are not even going to consider you if you don;t have a LIVING 50 under your ip address. Thats what it says on help vampire at least. Must have a 50, they test you in other ways, but the Imms who are involved with the creation, will obviously know who you are or ignore you if they dont. |

You dont have to have a living 50, but you need to have had a sufficient number of 50's that you are an ELITE player. We dont want anyone but ELITE players as a vampire or else they SUCK.
The helpfiles are that way for a reason. Once you get to a certain point, it all becomes clear, and you know what you have to do. Once you become a vampire, there are a ton of other helpfiles that are unlocked for you. |

Thanks. And what of the Paladin skill Stake? Is it for vamps only? |
