the handspring is faster than regular walking, and in the low levels the mv to chii cost is invaluable. As for making it "snake", its difficult to know what the intention of the player was. |

The astralwalk is much better then I think most people realize. The uses it can be put to are pretty amazing. Also, it isn't like the old ranger mind link, because I don't believe you could 'swap places' with the beast and then run back through doors to have 'passed' them. |

Can check for shadowspawns etc. for unmoving black cloak/armor to find which one it is.
Can check for Mordun/Daryth loot.
Can check for Morin's armplates.
Can check for sarich ring in pool, which is usually tough for lowbies.
This is even more useful than locate object, Winter is not the only place where treasures be at. |

all of those things you listed you would have to be lvl 50 to kill and if you wanted to check you can just flee out. Waste of a practice |

Except shadowspawn chase, so if you wanted to check that, you'd have to kill it anyway.
Least wise, I doubt it matters. If you don't want to practice it, don't. I'm sure someone will start bitching about how OP it is sometime in the near future. |

That'll probably be Ozaru too because foresight, awareness, and thinking don't seem to be his strong points. Spewing out whatever random crap comes to his mouth seems to be the default behavior - at least from what I've seen. |

You can just save the practices if you prefer. If you think you would rather have the 1 hp that practice buys you. |

I don't see the value in either skill, if you are going to let us travel the globe freely for 30 minutes with very little consequence then I agree it would be a valuable skill for people to explore without dying. If it is something that you can only do for 5 ticks with a 10 minute refresher probably not. |

5 ticks is plenty to scout out for traps and gain an upperhand at any ambush that's planned on you.
Not to mention countless of other usages.
Use your imagination you are playing a text-based game afterall! |

I thought it is 10 ticks? I may need to add something to return instantly to the body |

fists of fury now applies a haste to the monks upper body attacks, while reducing his chances to parry. I've updated this because with the styles being reactivated by anatomy now, they can stay up quite a while, and this gives you more chances to keep them active - while also providing a damage bonus in a form that isn't getting lost due to the active style doing magic damage anyway. Sorry if that sentence requires a few reads, but it'll make sense once you experience it. More hits = good. Also, because people have been saying forever that offensive needs a little more oomph to outdo leopard style |

added "crane wing" onto crane style technique.
Crane wing is a stacking modifier which built by landing successful attacks, which you will be getting help from the large hitroll bonus of crane style. The crane wing technique adds a sizeable ability to block an attack, although it can only occur once per round. To make the most of this, you should try to be in fight as much as possible, because it will quickly roll off.
I really like crane - I think hitroll is severly underrated. Although I don't blame anybody who jumped onto leopard, and drunken is drunken, I think this will definitely sweeten crane style a little bit. Also with the way monks have been observed to run away and safely heal because it is the apparent correct way to play, here's an alternative where that would NOT be ideal, because being out of combat for that long would mean you lose all your crane wings. Its essentially an offensive defense.
also I will go ahead and tip you off that this is good vs bows, although I can't speak for your parry in that situation.
At this point I think defensive styles are very well organized and will be looking to get snake/mantis similarly up to par with monkey and tiger.
edit: neglected to mention i made drunken spec skill stagger last ten times longer and clear on killing target |

Do you have to be tattooed with crane to receive its benefits? Does being tattooed with crane enhance it? Or is it just being in crane stance and that's it? |

Style. Yes to style though. It seemed like the other styles (especially leopard) got used way more often. I don't think that is a bad thing but I do think I want something that goes the other way as far as that flee-heal goes and this does it. |
