the Order mob in Winter no longer starts the monk quest that it used to while you were in defensive stance, so how can you get that extra +10 damroll perma-buff and extra attack for defensive stance now?
Also, if you use chii bolt while drunk and drunken stance, it no longer makes the target encumbered/cursed as it used to. |

Offense chii bar charges even when you're not doing anything, but defense chii doesn't charge for anything outside of kick and meditate. If second parry is needing chii lvl 2 to even be used, that's taking an entire defense away when you can't even charge defense chii (that other classes don't suffer when switching combat style). Meditate charges pretty well (two ticks of the bar when you're lvl 0, though, but four when you're past lvl 1? Is this a penalty for falling below the lvl 1 reset when changing a style? It's meditate, it's not something that's used in battle :p ) |

The ---------- level of chii half your chii.
The ========= is a quarter
And ######## a quarter.
So one - equals two ## |

* fists of fury is now correctly using chii
* iron body now has an active component for further damage reduction
* panda no longer auto-rolls when active, blowing all chii
* throw has been slapped with a chii cost (defensive)
* air thrash has been slapped with a chii cost (offensive)
* second parry no longer has any empower or style restrictions
* exploding palm now generates chii instead of spending
* panda belly bounce now generates chii instead of spending |

I think that may cause people to choose tiger's tattoo more as well, it sounds like good changes are coming. |

Is it possible for you to use the style's technique you are a grandmaster out of its style, but at a reduce use? It would make since that a grandmaster should be able to use it. Or would that be too op with monkey clamber? |

Monkey clamber in tiger style sounds quite terrifying to be honest. I think grandmasters might be better having "feats of strength" that only their grandmaster training allows them to do
thoughts?
tiger - can smash through doors with a flying kick
snake - autosneaks while in their snake style
monkey - able to throw objects through rooms e.g. feces. this causes mobs to hunt them if they arent already aggro'd
mantis - "latch" makes them immovable even by summon and recall
leopard - able to flee <direction>?
panda - worlds greatest cook
drunken - stuns cause stagger to clear
crane - can make an "alarm call" that summons a crane sentry to keep watch
We will have to wait for the dust to settle with the other stuff. |

Monks are already overdone. Is there any reason to play any other fighter anymore ? Maybe serker for pure deeps but that's about all. Monks have so much versatility that they are like a hybrid of all whilst also good at all |

I dont mind either way. I am quite happy with it as is. But grandmaster monks doing funny feats of strength would add a little charm |

the crane one made me kinda of laugh, like a monk making this odd sound and a crane comes in and stares at him like, 'Okay I'll watch ya for a bit, but fish first.' |

Neat ideas, but maybe a different thought about leopard. I think anybody should be able to flee in a certain direction, but with an auto strike from your opponent and defense roll by you when using a flee direction command. You'll make it whichever way you're going, but you could take a hit working your way to it.
And don't listen to m1co about monk ideas, he's just sour because they make great tanks :p But going toe to toe with other fighters? Gotta realize, m1co, a monk/zerker fight would be like Jackie Chan fighting Conan. Or Jet Li vs Legolas (with pets) in a monk/ranger match. Donnie Yen and Gimli for monk/warrior. Monks are just different fighters than the others, is all.
I think Dav's right, though, let the latest changes settle in before adding other stuff with monks. |

I'm with m1co on this one. I wouldn't be upset if monks lost sneak and bow outright. |

Sneak I think we all could understand doing away with; they're not ninjas (or shadows..) but bow? Monks all over have always used a sort of bow. It's a great test for a learned monk to catch an arrow in flight, you know :p |

Are you telling me a leather-only wearing master of mobility cannot sneak? It was kind of in the start of kung fu, every single episode, walking on the rice paper
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p9NTo6BWvs
he uses snake kung fu |

I was hoping grandmasters or masters of their chosen styles could do more with weapons. E.g a crane grandmaster would be able to use martial arts and kickboxing with the sword.
Otherwise, we just master the weapons to defend against them... |

Dav brought out the rice paper.. sneak is here to stay! You can't argue with that rice paper. |
