poison : now tickles instead of all damage at once. there are more
interesting things that come into play with the tickling damage. it
does do potentially more damage but can be healed before it runs
its course.
acupuncture: is now once per day instead of once per six hours

probably more geared towards monk nerf, not so much ninja nerf... though it does by default. |

Maybe with this change we should give cure light back to shadows? |

continual healing to any class that can hide themselves from view is overpowered in my opinion. What stops rangers from getting an additional heal, herb and acupuncture heal about the same hp and I will acknowledge that herb with heal maledictions as well. But remember shadows are the only class in the game that get an insta kill for doing very little. That little caveat is a game changer. Plus why do shadows get it and not thieves? |

I have fought extensively with ninjas (shadows) at level 50 and never really needed acupuncture that much, for anything. Cure light was very helpful. Dark-knights recuperated that with their abyssal bulwark and we had all kinds of trouble balancing it, if you recall. There are probably still some strong opinions on that skill. So that said, as far as acupuncture goes, I would rather just fix the skill for monks and revisit shadows after the fact |

Thieves can totally one-shot somebody. Dual daggers, stack damroll, blackjack and dual backstab. |

I added some decoy updates, which should make shadows more appealing.
1. You can now control the decoy, moving it around, picking locks, and I believe they can also talk. That goes well with being able to switch your place with the decoy's place.
2. I also added pass door onto the decoys, incase #1 wasn't already useful enough. This is a truly supernatural power to be able to do IMO.
2. Decoys no longer pop instantly, they are in fact durable enough to take a few hits. They also "yell" so the player who attacks it won't realise he fucked up so quickly. |

Those decoy changes sound cool, although it doesn't sound much like a decoy anymore. That makes me think of some clothes stuffed with straw or something.
This sounds more like having a shadow version of yourself, which fits really well with the theme of the class. |

And definitely make it so they can still talk. I like the idea of a shadow hiding while his magic shadow copy version of himself talks and negotiates with people. It's not just a cool skill, it's cool RP |

Yeah its supposed to be a shadow. We'll keep exploring this. Maybe we finally found our angle to safelky retire assassinate |

I would totally be fine with shadows losing assassinate, if they got an 'ambush' ability as well. Doesn't have to be ambush like thieves have, but just something that gives them that edge. They are a rogue class, with limited weapon options, since they don't have weapon improvise. |

I think if they could trick someone into attacking their shadow/decoy while they're in the same room they should get the chance at a really strong ambush attack. Either a huge damaging skill similar to backstab or a really powerful lag skill.
This would make shadows fun because it would all be a mind game in tricking people to attack your shadow. |

Also, shadows have a huge disadvantage since grapple no longer grounds people, they are missing an ability to do that with. |

How about a lesser counter for failed attempts? Otherwise training is super hard on this one. |
