The changelog just looks like helpfile spam now. My suggestion is to revert the changelog to the way it was a week ago and add a " Click here for a list of helpfile updates." link. I don't have an opinion either way on what goes in the motd.

To remove the helpfile spam we could just require manual hsave changed to post the motd update, instead of autosaving on every exit...
