I updated the world map page with all the areas (it had a fair amount missing) and made it more interactive.

It looks like crap!
Haha. Kidding. Thanks for updating the map, Davairus. Looks great, man.
The first couple of area maps I tried pulling up with the drop-down returned nothing, though. Is this where I laugh at myself again for missing the obvious??? |

My goal here was to be completely hands off with the actual data and just make sure that it came from the codex. I didn't want a person to be responsible for keeping the information relevant.. the whole point of the codex is to convert that manual process of data collection into a crowd sourcing. I was hoping to make it the same with the maps list. Unfortunately I didn't look too closely when I pulled the area names from the areas that got into the codex. I found it had areas like "a tornado" etc. Which is in the codex. It has to be. WTF? Anyway, I changed the areas list to come directly from the database.
If a map is still missing, and I dare say there is one or two, there are options as far as next steps go. I personally would like to see Mystics on task with making these maps. We can keep mystics busy for several years with this. If someone already has a ton of maps for some reason, send it to us and I will drop them in the website. I see 97 maps in the folder but some are mini versions of the same map.. 65 of the 97 are hand made |

What format do you need the maps? Like text file representations? |

we'll totally take user submitted maps for any empty slot
if you're submitting a map to replace an existing map, that's less valuable but we'll take it if it's better |

Is it better to have a map up that's very inaccurate (e.g., Battlezone) or take it down because of the full rewrite? |

adding nonexistent map > updating inaccurate map > updating accurate map that sucks |

This mapper is built directly into the webclient now. Just watch you don't get yourselves killed looking at your map. |
