It's been close to two years since the Towers of Sorcery have been rebuilt. I'm still impressed with how cool the place is compared to what it was. One part of the tower may not be living up to its potential, however. Please respond to the poll as honestly as possible.
For those who don't know, there's an enchanter in the tower that will enchant your weapons and armor for you.

Enchantments For Sale
=====================
Weapon and armor enchantments can be applied to your items in exchange for
relics. To purchase an enchantment simply BUY ENCHANT <ITEM>.
The delicate nature of the enchantment requires a large shard and a
four-leaf clover to be placed on the enchanting table. |

My opinion, based on having used it a couple times, is that the tower enchantment is overpriced (if you really want to enchant weapons or armour there are scrolls which do that practically for free). It seems lackluster in its current form. Any class with the use of scrolls (which seems to be all of them EXCEPT warriors, rangers, berserkers, and paladins) has a better option, particularly for weapons. |

Scrolls tend to be low level, therefore unsuited to enchant any weapon worth a damn. |

I honestly have no idea how to collect relics in a meaningful way before 50. Quests yield onesies twosies, so I don't bother, rendering this table pretty useless for me. |

I know what could drive more business to the enchanters table
If you could bring a scroll + your weapon/armor and pay a price to have that spell (contained in the scroll) enchanted temporarily onto the said weapon/armor.
That's the base idea not barring balancing issues. Other derivative ideas could maybe be a set of spells that are simply listed as being able to enchant onto a weapon/armor based on each of the disciples or else the three mages (invoker, Illusionist, Necro)
As for relic costs, can't you spend warlord for relics or whatever, or chips rather? |

Price is a bit much so I have never actually used it. Even a rouge can learn to use a scroll, so add a layer or two to a weapons, but I am still if the opinion people outside Invokers rarely seek enchanted armor.
I like how it is currently. |

I've never used it because the stopping points for equipment collection are at or around levels 10, 20, 30, and 40. When I hit 50 I need to have a decent collection of equipment that can let me compete already, which means I needed to get it at level 40. I don't know of any way to get relics at these stopping levels |

It's still overpriced. 1000 relics to get 5 layers on a weapon after being faded (which probably takes additional relics)? No thank you! I'm better off just buying a Darkhaven weapon with a lesser amount of relics or collecting coins and getting a weapon from the smith in Winter...
Additionally, the shard requirement is why I did not like the enchantment service in the first place, but the number of relics is prohibitively expensive.
Besides, three of the ten most active players so far this month are invokers... |

Just for some context:
When I came up with the idea for the enchanter table I had 2 goals in mind:
1) Make it so non-scroll users and non-invokers can self-serve get their weapons enchanted.
2) Make it more reliable than using scrolls.
If that helps any in this discussion. |

We can certainly make adjustments to the cost. Until this poll, I don't know that we received any feedback on that. The shard requirement is something else we could look at. The fireforge doesn't seem to be getting a lot of use right now, either. |
