If we want a methodical debate on whether or not murder is an evil act, regardless of the alignment of another person, we could do that, but

A. I never asked Mico to be banned, but I did think that due to this persons high track record of pulling dumb shit and getting in trouble, why should he be given a long leash to actively murder someone who isnt attacking him with a neutral thief?

B. I lost interest because its the same people to kill over and over again. that tied with the private tells of how its not really a RP game and you only have to RP when imms can see you, and neutral murdering halfling thieves. And no my character wasnt a dark knight.

You guys have banned Estonia, AOL, Brandon U, and now a site that I am a part of. I don't think thats very effective or good for the game, to be cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Banning all of Estonia was largely an attempt to keep m1co out, as I understand it. It's not like they haven't tried. He's just incredibly persistent and eventually they just give up. It's not that he has a long leash, he just gets off of it very quickly and easily. I'm all up for hiring an ass-kicking hitman, but that doesn't seem likely.

On another note, there's some things about AR that are newbie friendly, other's that aren't. That's just the way it is basically. Alot of that 'history' you mention no newbie would ever know about. Closing classes, cabals, ect, doesn't matter to them.

One thing that will get people though is stagnation. Not so much newbies, but vets and semi-vets will get fed up with nothing going on, talk of changes, but none ever coming. I think for AR's sake Dav should take it fully and just go. I know he backed it up when Burzuk left so any changes can be undone if he comes back, but that doesn't seem very likely.

I agree that Dav could be a bit more patient and explain things better, but I also understand why he gets frustrated (ie, m1co, et al).

I don't really ban people anymore, I stopped that approach about 5 years ago when I found out allowing them to play and then denying them was a lot more discouraging. That and its not a very effective procedure. So as far as your siteban is concerned I don't know. Your belligerent forum post was enough to convince me to not bother checking what sitebans we have. Resatimm is banning people because he never woke up to the new-school thinking of just denying people. You can take it up with him.
