LAIRS

'LAIRS', 'HOVELS' Syntax: lair (brings up lair information and commands) A LAIR is a type of item players can DEPLOY into the world to create their own area. A lair is usually a player character's house, but sometimes a lair might be a dank pit, a wizard's tower, or a priest's temple. To build a lair, a player must first find and DEPLOY a lair entrance. Then, other lair construction items can be used inside to finish and furnish the interior as desired. Lair entrances can be deployed in field and hill terrains. Caves and other rooms may be available in some circumstances. When a lair entrance is deployed, a key to the entrance is generated in the inventory of the placing character. Make sure not to lose this key, or you may find yourself locked out of your lair! Some basic lair items can be found in Yarbok the Slith's shop, but you'll need to search for him near the Wyvern Tower in Thalos Ruins. To set fire to your lair and destroy it, TORCH your lair entrance. If you have change of heart before it burns down, DOUSE your entrance. You will need to REGISTER a plot of land at the local magistrate to be able to build a lair within the walls of major cities. To check the current list of lairs, check LAIR LIST. To check the current status of a room within your lair, check LAIR SCORE. You can hire a lair guardian which will protect it from intruders and alert you if it is being broken into. Only those you TRUST will be let in. See also: DEPLOY, WORKBENCH, PRESTIGE
