Hear ye, hear ye! Changes have been made to the following:
BASH, BODYSLAM:
Chance of success and duration upon success are both increased against
those who have been hobbled.
BEAST CALL:
Calling an animal will prevent another of the same animal from responding
to one's beast calls for one day (24 hours). This does not affect how
often rangers may call _different_ animals. Boar health is decreased, and
falcon health is greatly decreased. New beast call method for wolves.
CHARGE:
Two-handed damage bonus to charge is slightly reduced. Shield-wearers may
attempt to block charge, and counterbalanced rogues may attempt to dodge.
FRENZY:
Those under the effect of the frenzy spell do not benefit from trance.
LORE:
High proficiency in the lore skill allows one to analyze the target's
weapon proficiencies for weaknesses when using the 'consider' command.
RAKE:
Successful two-handed rakes against offhand weapons cause arm distension.
RIPOSTE:
Reflex mode riposte is more effective against raged attacks, especially
offhand raged attacks.
SIDESWIPE:
Those equipped with javelins will use the volley skill instead of the
winding kick skill if they successfully sideswipe a bow-wielding target.
THROW:
Rogue throwing weapons (cards, daggers, and shurikens) have decreased
accuracy when thrown while in inferior combat style, and increased
damage when thrown against a bow-wielding opponent.
WARCRY:
Stunning warcry now stuns all that are attacking the berserker, but only
those who are attacking the berserker.
PROTECTIVE SHIELD:
Protective shield now protects against dirt kicking, stunning warcry, and
all ranger bow skills. Deflection rate against normal bow attacks is also
increased.
All have been hereby notified!

Someone owes me money now -- I knew that the first response would be "omg now you've made X class overpowered!"
By the way, this marks the end of Combat Module B. |

I think that was mostly toward the frenzy thing, so shaman have to make a choice between mana and damage, so they don't have the complete pwnage they used to. |

I would like to point out that the shield blocking charges is for fighters only, not for cleric/mage, unless I'm remembering wrong. If you have the ability to weapon ward you're obviously expected to use it to stop charge.
Surprised none of you caught that. |

Well I wasn't sure if it was supposed to block it every time or just a chance. |

One of the updates we forgot is the update intended for javelins.
From now on if you equip javelins, with a shield, there will be a link made between the two. Remove the shield. Wear it again later, and you'll equip the set of javelins you had earlier with the shield automatically.
So.. there's really no reason not to carry javelins anymore. |
