(Sort of a parallel to http://abandonedrealms.wolfpaw.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=7117 - listing of skills/spells/abilities that can be used to screw people over, specifically out of PK)

(List with a half-dozen or so illegal ways to mess with people removed)

Admittedly, I'm reaching a little on a couple of those. However, as the only real way to use Doppelganger to "bring harm" to people out of PK is by running into the Justice cabal while Doppelgangered, something that is specific to a single mobile: the Justice guardian.

Note that this Justice exploit can STILL be done to those in range, and is tantamount to a one-hit kill. The restriction to PK-range only didn't really fix the problem; it just made it a little less severe.

Now every person with an illusionist who hadn't thought of this particular trick knows it and can use/exploit it.

Eh? If this isn't something that's common knowledge, then I'll edit the whole list out (wonder why it wasn't done already if it's supposed to be a secret). Point being, there are many, many ways to screw over people out of PK. I've thought of a few more since posting that, too. :/

Changing one spell's available targets really doesn't make AR a whole lot safer from wankers. That's why we keep you Imms around. ;)

Why don't you think that a doppelganger spell would work other than this? There are several other 'uses' for the spell besides just the Justices, I guarantee.

for example doppeling someone and attacking a guild guardian when both the ill and the victim are standing in front of a guild.

spells that harm others out of pk range are let go until they start being abused destructively by players.

I used Doppelganger to help make sure I got the first attack in, to confuse others that were allied against me, to even the odds in a 2+ vs 1 fight (doppel one of the attackers :D ), and also to show off for the lowbies. It was just a plain "fun" spell, mostly, and is THE reason I ranked out of a multi 100K+ exp hole to make it to 50.

So, yes. It has/had a lot of uses other than just dicking people over with the Justices.
