Illithids only have parry, parry is better if you know both weapons, could we get some skill progression for illithids weapon skills when they defend themselves?
Or maybe give them dodge.
I have heard they have a powerful parry, but it still seems like they just soak damage.
How about allowing illithids to change their shocking bite based on what arrows they wear. Maybe they coat their claws with arrow heads, by shocking or magical bond, but this hurts a little, takes time, cannot be removed but wears off after an extended time. |

Have a look at paragraph 2 of HELP WEAPON WARD.
Code: |
'WEAPON WARD'
Syntax: cast 'weapon ward' (short syntax: wwad)
Spell type: PROTECTIVE
Weapon wards are spells that protect spellcasters from many of the specialized weapon attacks employed by other classes. This is accomplished by erecting a temporary ward upon the spellcaster's weapon, whose energies will automatically be unleashed in response to specialized weapon attacks such as DISARM. The duration of a spellcaster's weapon ward is dependent upon his primary attribute, which is intelligence for mages. Spellcasters who are caught without a weapon ward protecting them are very vulnerable to being disarmed, or worse. Having a weapon ward in place prevents a spellcaster from removing or changing his own weapon.
An active weapon ward will prevent one's opponent from exploiting any weapon type advantages over a spellcaster's parrying, and also prevents a spellcaster from suffering any parrying penalties due to lack of skill proficiencies in his opponent's weapons.
