The requirements to induct an applicant into cabals other than Knight (who have a special flow with squires and stuff) have been relaxed. In effect, this allows cabal members to more actively recruit new members.
The way it now works is as follows:
All cabal members and nobles may use the applicant approve and applicant disapprove commands
Approving of an applicant adds your cabal rank to their approval rating
Disapproving of an applicant subtracts your cabal rank from their approval rating
An applicant requires an approval rating of 4 or more to be inducted by anyone besides the cabal leader or the cabal immortal.
Anyone of rank 3 or above may induct approved members.
Nobility (dukes, earls, etc.) have the same applicant approval weight as a rank 1 cabal member
A rank 3 cabal member requires one other approving member to induct (unless someone disapproves). A rank 4 cabal member or the cabal leader can induct a member with no one else's approval.
Reputable players who self-induct will now have the opportunity to help resurrect dead cabals and recruit new applicants, keeping the game healthy. We'll still rely on the cabal immortal and cabal leader to ensure there is at least one active member of rank 3 or above at all times. We can discuss adding a mechanism to auto-promote to rank 3 for a dead cabal at a later date, if that sounds useful.
Ultimately, this is only a change to the mechanics of how applicant approve and applicant disapprove score applicants. Actual cabal induction policy is unchanged and remains dictated entirely by the mortal and immortal cabal leaders and the helpfiles they write. |
