Hey all. Curious to know if this is intended or a bug. I'm trying to reopen an auction for something, and I've offered double the 20k asking price, even went to 45k with no luck. If something doesn't sell in an auction I'd say it stands to reason the price would go down. Supply and demand and all that.
If this is working as intended at worst could there be a command to see what the cost to reopen an auction is? so people aren't burning gold just withdrawing trying to find what price it reopens at just to realize it is way too expensive now! |

Oh I see that you need to post three times the auction price! |

The obvious reason for the in-game mechanics of 'supply and demand' not working is simple: post an item for a high price, and everyone waits it out to get it at bargain prices. The economy of AR (especially when gold exploits are running rampant) demands fair exchange of gold for decent equipment to weed out OOC transfers, etc. |

That makes sense Vhrael, thanks for explaining it. I kind of figured it was to prevent item swapping, but I didn't realize the gold exploits were that bad.
In my opinion it kinda breaks immersion a little though. Not a big deal, but maybe an RP explanation could be added to the auction help file as to why Rimath charges 3x the amount? |
