Okay, so... after roughly 1 1/2 months of waiting, I *think* that the PK stats for April and May are finally done. When I say "done," I mean that they've been tallied and accounted for using the new method for monthly PK stats that Burzuk's given me to follow. "How are the monthly PK stats tallied now," you might be asking yourself. Well it just so happens that I have the answer to that question.
For Cabals:
- Total PK/death/efficiency record for the cabal is tallied based on members' PKs and deaths, as usual.
- The only "individual" records are the results of 50-vs-50 fights. This means that the individual records listed for each caballed member are not their overall record for the month. It is simply the result of kills and deaths based on the killer and victim both being at rank 50.
- Caballed members who have any record of "50-vs-50," even if it's only a single PK or death, will have their record for the month expanded to fit the "Overall" guidelines. The expanded record will be included and ranked in the "Overall" section.
For the Overall:
- Only PKs/deaths in which the killer, victim, or both were at 50 are included (i.e. 45 vs 50, 50 vs 50, etc.).
- At least one of the two (killer or victim) must be at 50, and the other must be at or above rank 45.
You might be asking yourself why in the hell the records are being so selectively edited this time around. The answer's simple. The game is and has pretty much always been considered most balanced and prestigious at rank 50, and rank 50 combat is especially considered the goal for caballed characters. Assuming your character stays within the "anti-multikilling/trash-pking" guidelines, you'll still have a nice Graveyard record if you PK along your way to pinnacle; however, don't expect to reap any form of additional kudos or recognition because of it. Thus the emphasis has been placed, both for caballed characters and non-caballed, on combat with other pinnacled characters or (ideally) in 50-vs-50 combat.
If you have any questions about the new format, please ask them here. It took several revisions on my part (and with nearly 500 pks above rank 36 for each month, there was a helluva lot of data to sift through) to get this pared down to what it is now, so hopefully it'll serve its purpose.
And with that, I give you the Revised Playerkilling Statistics for May 2006:

heh like everything else, the data but delimited by a string of caveats
the top spot is only 10 'quality/50' pks-- in a Month? weak city !!
at any rate, thanks for all the efforts vhrael |

Crap... I think I didn't copy/paste the whole thing while I was at work. I was in a hurry, might've cut some people off. I'll double-check tomorrow morning when I get back to work. |

I don't care about seeing less lowbie stats since those were always dominated by someone who should be at 50. I miss the "most abused" thing though.. that was entertaining. |

Okay, I put everything in the records from May. I double-checked both my own edited records and the raw data, and you weren't the victim or killer in any PKs this month, not to mention any involving 50-vs-50. Either you a) weren't active enough with that character, b) weren't involved in combat as much as you thought, or c) weren't the one to score the killing blow in group combat. |

One of the three, most likely. Thanks for checking, though. |
