A sign detailing all of the various fines that the Justice cabal is
allowed to adminster has been written by the Justice officer Deiminos and
placed in the City Hall of Seringale (where fines are paid) for your
information.
Please remember that Laws are a mortal affair, do not bring complaints
of fines to the immortals, but instead to the Justice cabal itself.

FINES - As enforced by the Justice Cabal
The following is a list of fineable offenses in the protected
cities. As a citizen it is your responsibility to know and
adhere to these rules of towns, or you will be subject to a fine.
Fines can range from 5000 to 20,000 coins per offense and are
levied by Justice officers, to be paid at the secretary. Failure
to pay a fine on time will result in a WANTED flag.
1. Gate guards - Attacking gate guards, being attacked by gate
guards for killing perimeter guards in Seringale, or slaying
gate guards to aid a criminal's escape are all offenses of
varying fine amounts. These provide a valuable service to the
Justice cabal.
2. Fake yells - Justices are able to distinguish between real
and fake yells. Do not try to confuse a Justice into flagging
someone with a yell. This will incur up to the maximum fine.
3. Desecration - Defecating and excessive trashing are minor
offences subject to a tariff of no more than 5000 gold.
4. Defiling corpses - Butchering, soul capturing, or any other
form of mutilation done on a citizen's corpse will incur maximum
fine. Exceptions are the corpse of a traitor, and the citizen's own.
5. Area attacks - Those that do not open combat with others, such
as faerie fog and calm, will result in minimum fines. Offensive area
spells like fireballs, earthquakes, tornadoes and so on will result in
flags, please do not confuse these with the fineable ones.
6. Lingering spells - Poison, plague, dysentery, and any other
spell which causes physical harm after a duel is over is subject
to a fine up to 10,000 gold.
7. Loitering - Entering the Arena with a clearly challenged,
accepted, and sanctioned duel is unlawful except for members of
cabal Justice, and refusing to leave the Arena so a sanctioned duel
can begin is also loitering.
8. Aiding a criminal - aiding a criminals escape or survival is
unlawful and subject to a fine if it is done after a warning. Some
examples are opening and closing gate doors, casting beneficial
spells, healing, summoning, recalling, and so forth. |
