Sorry for flip-flopping on this, its been difficult to merge the concept of tracking the "streak" of lightwalker kills (to see who's the most badass) while avoiding the problem of Knights going suiciding to inflate the figures. After throwing out two different models, the latest one proved buggy as it introduced new fields on top of existing code, which I've now learned is harder than just starting over. I also felt that the pendelum had been swung too far away from the Knights. It was bias to evils, so here we go again.
The break-down is....
Entering roll sheet
Kill a Valourian and you enter the sheet, initially hidden from view. Two Valourians, and you're "activated" on the roll sheet. Your name will be displayed. Your "kill streak" determines your place.
Break oath or grab anathema some other way, and you're also put on the sheet.
Exiting roll sheet
Dying to Knights = your entry is hidden, but a remnant remains, so you may retake your place by killing a Valourian again.
If you die twice in succession (i.e. your entry is hidden at the time you died), then you will be completely removed, and will have to work your way back up.
P.E. number one
Still working on this, right now its just keeping the highest "online" roll sheet guy flagged. I don't see why I need to make it more involved, since the lowbies get harassed by mobs anyway. Time will tell.
The roll sheet is pretty much just a way of prioritizing Knights, but also good for notoriety, and much stricter as a flag mechanic than the wanted/contract stuff (you actually have to kill two separate people to be even near that). |
