If we are looking for things to do then I would've liked something that tied in with the rest of the game. You mentioned socketing, gems etc and I think that would've been great since we have forging already. Well we have potions, perhaps instead of fishing we can have herbs collecting? Maybe we can make our own monster resist potions instead of always buying them. Or since we have been discussing ninjas, how about insect farming for various poisons? My issue with fishing is that it really doesn't tie in with anything that AR offered previously. In fact, I can't think of any fantasy books out there that has fishing as a way of anything....
I suppose that makes AR different which is a good thing I guess. |

I played WoW for three years I think, and all I got for it was a lvl 70 undead rogue. |

uh we have had guys on the darkhaven docks with fishing poles for 10 years, and I didn't even create a single fishing rod object. Hows that for tieing in?

You can do that with the fishing - see Devorast.
Herb gathering is something that will be reserved for the druid class, which I have no timetable on, or indeed if that will ever even happen, but it should be considered reserved for druids when we get around to it. |

You reel in a light-grey lamprey.
You say 'Object 'fish lamprey light-grey' is type food, material flesh.'
You say 'Extra flags: none.'
You say 'Weight is 1, value is 10, level is 1.'
> look lamprey
A nice looking fish is flapping around.
lamprey are NOT nice looking fish.

The fishing shop in the Sliivalan village sells bait. However you can't use that bait for actual fishing. when you try to bait your rod it says it isn't edible. |

I've baited one of my rods before. It's doable.
Though I think it depends on what bait you use. I tried to bait one of my rods with the bucket of bait from Lexie in solace, and that didn't work. |
