Hey all, As you'll know we have had MXP in the game for about a year.
MXP kind of sucks and we havent done a whole lot with it, but it has been a
little helpful. Its just an unfortunately limited and bulky thing to use,
because it is "inline" on our normal output.
Some of you have already noticed that we have since gone one better than
that, and began supporting MSDP as well. This is a much more interesting
protocol because it alows updates to be sent out of band. That means I can
send your prompt details, room name, etc, and you can configure MUD client
to watch these variables.
MSDP is a very cool tool. If you have tintin++ or mushclient, there are
plugins which you can download - literally, go to google right now and look
for them - and your game experience will be enhanced IMMEDIATELY. I will
provide help at some point but for now I have something else very very
special in the works, I'll leave it to you guys to sort this out between
yourselves on the forums.
Some examples of things to try with MSDP: - capture the room mapper to
window - capture the communicaton channels to window - capture a prompt
(instead of dealing with seeing it scroll by)
If you get this going please share some screenshots on the forum. We want
to see what you do with it. Thanks!

Some examples of things I'd like, if I didn't totally suck at scripting.
- Capture affects in a separate window. That'd be sweet for PK.
- Capture map from room description in a separate window.
- Capture inventory in a separate window, to see available weapons and supplies usage.
That'd be schweet. |

All that you mentioned are possible Faelon. We're working on a super sekrut something right now that'll take advantage of them. |

I'll mention that MXP is also still supported, but you will need to turn it on manually with the MXP in-game command. |
