'HELP KNIGHTS'
The capital of Valour was built and furbished by the devoted of
the faith, in honor of the Immortals of Light. A wealthy city it
was, that many of great need and in search of freedom themselves flocked
towards, to live under its renown protection. Its extravagance often
attracted invasions from numerous evil strongholds, but no enemy could
penetrate its extraordinary defenses, for no man or beast could match a
renowned Knight of Valour in battle.
There were two young distinguished soldiers that became Knights: one was
a young and confident blade master, named Sarich, and the other, a master
strategist and field marshal named Rodyn. They were brothers born from
different mothers. By means of a jealous Knight's betrayal to the gods of
darkness, the beloved monarch of Valour was slain by Rodyn. The beauty of
Valour was never the same again. It was then that Queen Victoria's famed
Knights declared sovereignty of the city, and applied a militant stand
toward the evils of the land. Led by the deceased queen's first Knight,
Sarich sought council with the heavens for their loss. Each Knight swore
solemn oaths they would be forbidden to ever break, in return for powers
to aid them in their quest. They went from well-trained warriors to holy
heroes of faith, bonded eternally to their duty.
In current times the Knights have evolved into two collective Orders with
a reciprocal and coordinated relationship. One Order cannot be successful
without the other and the strength of Knights is dependent upon the
existence of both Orders:
* Order of Heroes - they lead the charge into battle, wielding their Holy
Weapons aloft with divine efficacy.
* Order of Templars - more brains than brawn, the natural choice for
clerics, wizards, or fighters with an eye for the ancillary.
* NOTE: The Knights Cabal focuses on the aspects of good and chivalry. You
are expected to enforce the OATH upon people of Evil alignment during your
life as a Knight. Also, there is no greater evil than an ANATHEMA, who
warrants the full wrath from all members of Knights in any numbers
necessary. Knights that break their own oaths will similarly be made
anathema and evil, permanently.
Applicants to the Knights cabal MUST be pledged to a Good-aligned deity,
preferably one of the Gods of Sun, Storm, or Earth. Followers of Luck will
also be considered, however those who follow Water may find their adherence
to Order can conflict with their duties as a Knight.
