'CHANNELS AND COMMUNICATION'
There are a myriad of ways to communicate with other real people
in the realms. These are called CHANNELS. Each of these channels,
except newbie chat, requires you to stay in character at all times.
To toggle off any of the global channels (e.g. gossip, cb, newbiechat),
simply type the channel name with no arguments.
Verbal communication
say - to every player in the same room
esay - to every player in the same room, personalized
sayto - to every player in room but directed at target
whisper - whisper to a player in the same room
tell - sends a telepathic (i.e. private) message to player
reply - sends a private message back
gtell - send a telepathic message to every player in your group
yell - to every player in the same area
cb - to every player in your cabal
ct - to every player in your coterie
gossip - to every player in a coterie, tavern, or the nobility
newbiechat - to newbies and newbie mentors
pray - to Immortals
replay - use this to see the messages you recently received
Non-verbal communication
emote - gesture to everybody in the same room
pmote - gesture to every player in room, directed at target
think - to yourself but caution: mind readers might see this!
socials - some built-in common gestures
pose - set your character in a customized position
Written communication
note - write a note to a player, cabal, immortal
pub - write a publication to all (Consortium and Bards only)
application - Used for cabal, immortal, and vampire applications
bug - submit a bug report to the immortals
issue - view status of your bug reports
typo - submit a typo to the immortals
idea - submit an idea to the immortals
Some commands can be accompanied with gestures, e.g.
rage,
kick.
