out, enough to hold several hundred people. Natural light pours in through

This is the longest room in the cathedral, containing the pews where the
faithful masses sit in worship. Rows and rows of benches have been laid
out, enough to hold several hundred people. Natural light pours in through
the stained glass windows at its sides, supported by soft candlelit lanterns
placed around its walls. The quire is roughly ten feet higher than the nave
east of here. Light pours in through an opening in the ceiling.

In the heat of combat I didn't even notice that his guard was rescuing him. When that happens, I need to flee then murder again, correct? That's easier said than done, since as I mentioned everthing's moving so fast I didn't even see the rescue. When I saw my strike of faith's landing I was like "fuck ya, he's not warded!"...until I go back to read the log to see I'm striking his guard. Dammmmmit.

I know there is balance logic somewhere here that I can't see since I'm steamed I just died, but right this second there seems to me to be something imbalanced about evil Justices who then get to full loot your corpse with an uber macro.

Anyways. Thanks for the fight, and the 'opporuntity' to gear up from nekkidness.

    Justices will give back most of your equipment unless you're a common criminal, you were bountied (killed a justice while wanted), or attacked a Justice in town.

    i haven't played a paladin in a while, but just looking at ur fighting style and his you should go balls to the wall damage. Your dex is hurting ur at 20 for whatever reason. Definately try and dual wield against him and flee murder as much as possible. and of course water weapons which you seem to have down.

    He quit out when his Item was captured?! It's a cabal duty to rescue your Item, or die trying. Vaelyn, school your newbies.

    My dex is hurting due to my living wood and save_vs_mal gear. Need to have that mal gear maxed against Shamans. Dual wielding was a tough choice since I had the Staff of Storms (2 handed). It was either the Staff, or dual-wield with my less powerful water cube offhand. I'll skirmish more for sure next time.

    Is it a little unbalanced and unKeeperly for Paromido to attack Naton, making it 2 on 1? Or not? It was after Jaqr was dead, but it was soon enough after the fight that I'd have considered it 2 on 1.

    I think mainly what you need to do next time Jaqr is "k Naton" when the guard rescues. That makes you redirect back to Naton. Not "murder Naton" or "k nat" it's gotta be "k naton". Or you can just avoid the whole deal and not attack him in town. Makes it easier.

    2 on 1 that is funny, I was raiding the justice cabal, Naton did not defend he sat in town, for whatever reason Jaqr attacked him and got wanted. Jaqr ran to valour Naton chased him killed him and I attacked Naton and he ran from me.

    The BEST advice i can give u is, dont die with 590 mana remaining. That's the silliest way to die. CURE CURE CURE. 2ndly, have a balance between maladictive and dam/hit. If it's me, I would go for a save of probably -40 mal/-20 mental or smth initially? So that it makes him a little hard to spell you, but not impossible. Yet u have sufficient hit/dam. Increase the saves when deteriorate hits or something. You must take into consideration his savebreak equipment too.

    Strike of faith is to be used to test his ward. I think it would be better to strike rather than just strike, so u wont miss him in case you're not sharp enough being not so experienced?

    Wrath personally, it's not mana effective to wrath him with sanc up. I would rather cure and murder. Wrath is also stack with Health, at very low health of the shaman, wrath doesn't deal much daamge, u might want to consider that. Also considering the lag from wrath. My take would be whether he's flying or not, as murder lag on flying is high and wrath is lower than murder lag(fly).

    Dual wield to me is not advisable to use. You only have a single parry defense against him. I would rather go 2 handed with parry and set parry. So personally, I would just go 2 handed staff of storms and divine sacrifice (healing back). You want to dish out high enough damage that staying in combat against you is difficult. That makes a shaman hard to fight you, needing to weigh between failed attempts at spelling compared to damaging you with murders and offensive spells.

    BTW, you were quite unlucky for him to hit blasphemy just like that with -53 maladiction saves. Run like hell when hit with blasphemy, run if off, dont fight with blasphemy on. run around until it's gone... it's suicidal to fight the shaman as a paladin without ur spells.

    Bassball, thanks for the tip about "k ". I'll need to play with this...the reason I have my macro set to murder is because I tried k'ing in my youth and it said "you have to MURDER" blah blah, so I never went back.

    right. k doesn't work to initiate combat against another character. But once combat is already initiated murder doesn't work to redirect so you have to use k.

    Okay, I seriously try not to post on the log board, but u talk so much shit Paromido. First off, I did go defend and then ran to SS to heal. Jaqr attacks, I go for criminal idiot and u stopped intruding to try and gang me.

    Later, u and Hrim both intrude and I defend the shit outta the cabal, but u guys kept switching off so I couldn't rest. Then once I was fully depleted I had to rest and needed to go after like an hour and a half of that shit, and u and Hrim both go attack tthe Devourer. I fucking do my shit right so worry about yourself.

    He was anathema and I am a Knight. Was I supposed to ask him nicely to come outside of town to fight? I am of chaotic ethos which means I attack in town if I want to. And knight duties dictate I hunt any anathemas in my range, even if it is suicide to do so. Correct me if I am wrong.

    Umm yeah, being chaotic doesn't mean you HAVE to attack in town, it means you have the option to do it if you want. Regarding anathema, listen to bassball, if there is no one around to rank with and you are not pinnacle, you MUST attack if they are in range.

    Jaqr - keep up the shit you're doing. I think from an RP perspective, it is absolutely fantastic and I for one applaud it. Justice was anathema, you went in and hit him : ratio and gear be damned. Most impressive thing I have seen from the log boards in a while. In terms of pk though, yeah, you definitely want to be using your mana much more for healing. Dying with 560hp is dying with about 1200-1400 effective hp. Wrath isn't so good versus protection and sanctuary; your melee engages were much stronger. I'd work on being quicker at that - pip might give lessons, idk. - the lags for wrath and murder are about the same. The most successful/impressive knights have gone in, taken out their evil justice target, and ran around rampant with the (WANTED) flag for weeks at a time. Needless to say, the people saying you shouldn't attack aren't the knights who've been impressive or successful. Again, you're doing a fantastic job roleplaying the character.

    Paramido - Uh.. so you duel arvar a lot in the arena and try to get justices killed via dirty/evil tactics - you knew exactly what you were doing. In fact, not only do you not do anything impressive, you whine at implied gangs. How exactly are you impressive again? Who gives a shit if you gang someone? Roleplay your character's ethos and alignment. If you believe firmly in cabal duties, attempt to kill them regardless of obstacle. Not trying to single you out because it isn't just you, just making a point.

    Imo, Paramido and Jaqr's ranks should be switched. And remember people, u is a letter, you is a pronoun.

    Garek, you are wrong. chaotic doesn't mean you break the laws when justices aren't around -- that's neutral. Chaotic characters have no regard for the laws or their enforcers. Jaqr is actually roleplaying the chaotic alignment, unlike the rest of the pussies who just pretend to be chaotic until a justice comes around and scares them
