The Oblivion Stone floats at the edge of the Void, waiting for the Void Reapers to return and claim it. Once again, they have requested an audience so that their thanks (or perhaps something else?) may be bestowed upon Serin.

The search is on for the stone, hidden somewhere in Serin by a powerful Void Reaper named Voraxen. The longer the stone remains in Serin, the more void magic flows into the realm. Recovering it and returning it to the Void is paramount.

The next Symposium of Magical Thought is upon us! It is once again time for the Magi of Serin to share their knowledge amongst one another. Those most ancient practitioners of the magical arts are invited to provide a copy of some recent research they have undertaken, philosophical reflections, or whatever written work you believe would provide meaningful discourse within the magical community. As before, submissions from guilds not specifically trained in the magical arts are welcome as well. If you have encountered strange magic out in the wilds, or had a stimulating battle with someone employing novel magicks against you, et cetera. These submissions would be welcome and considered for discussion. Submissions for consideration of publication in the Proceedings of the Mystics of Arcana are welcome up to the appointed date. At such time we shall gather in the Ivory Towers to discuss and debate the merits of those works. NOTICE: I have elected to delay the commencement of the Symposium to allow more time for submissions to be received. NOTICE II: This event has been indefinitely postponed in deference to a proper mourning period for High Herald Valindra Skitterwit. Submissions will still be accepted in the meantime.

Scholars have recently uncovered references to a literary archive that dates to the First Age of Serin. The writings within could be invaluable to understanding more about the history and myths of the past. Powerful magic has hidden the archive for many years, thus locating it will take a collective effort of willing adventurers.

Dwiggans the Wurst Knight, whose residence is unknown, is notified that Valindra Skitterwit did on the Day of the Horizon, 4th Renewal of the Celestial of Tyranny, file a petition for divorce in the People's Courtroom, alleging that said Dwiggans has been willfully absent from his bride for a period of multiple Celestials. If said Dwiggans does not provide countersuit within a period of seven Renewals, the Court will consider this union dissolved, and all communal assets will be distributed to Valindra.

Some time ago, in the middle of the Second Age, a great battle waged between the lich Zaikkra of the Material Abyss and the peoples of Serin. The lich Zaikkra was banished, and a dark time took hold of Serin, known as the Mourning. Such devastation had not been seen in Serin for millennia, but its people persevered. Davairus, at the height of his power, began to rebuild Serin. Sethronu the Frozen Hearted Warrior and his Fortress of Warlords were scorched in a sea of flames, their faded banners and faded honor burned with them. He granted immortality to the Herald Vanisse, so that her good fortune might spread across the land. Vhrael, Commandant of the Seringale Watch earned a place in the heavens by establishing order in the crumbling streets of Seringale. Finally, Olyn, the Lord of the Sands, was raised to immortality so that Serin would once gain find Balance. The Herald cabal was successfully reformed in a peaceful manner, and Patrons and Nobles began to populate Serin, thus beginning the New Dawn. Today marks the anniversary of the New Dawn, and so the people remember and the people celebrate, but they will never forget that dark times have come before and may come yet again if they are not vigilant. During this day of celebration and remembrance, players will receive double experience points, similar to a surge. There will not be increased training or gold, except during any regularly scheduled surge.

If you and your opponent do not fight in these two days, one will be disqualified at my discretion. Cowardice will not be tolerated, do not enter the tournament if you fear of death. Each fight may only last at a maximum of one hour, and then if no victor emerges, it will go by vote from the Warlord cabal. All battles are a single elimination fight. I repeat, these fights are to the DEATH or you forfeit by leaving the battleground. Registration is now open and will stay open until the final eight are chosen. Celebrate the New Year with double xp!

The Heralds are scheduling a knockout poker tournament in the Mockers Tavern immediately after Strythoween ends. It is recommended, but not required, to sign up for this event. Bring along 20000 gold coins with you, no more and no less, to the tournament. Food and beverages will be provided free of charge during this event, so the players can focus on the tournament. The tournament is an elimination tournament; if you run out of money, you lose. The overall winner will earn a prize of 100000 coins in addition to their winnings from the event. The Serin Race is baaaaack! The Heralds will be hosting the Great Serin Race for all to join. For those of you who don't know what The Great Serin Race is, it is a race and test of wits. For to find where you must run to, you must answer riddles. To enter the race, you only need to contact a Herald, they will sell you a ticket for 1000 gold coins which will go towards the Herald's coffers for prize money. After you have your ticket, the Herald will start the race, allowing you to run wild and follow the riddles to the markers. Once there, you will receive a riddle on an item you must gather and turn in. You will then be given a riddle to the next post. The Rules: 1. No recalling. This is you going across Serin to test your wits and body. 2. No flying or riding on a steed, whether a Knights or a Dark-Knight's nightmare stallion. 3. No outside help, you may ask the Herald running it for a clue. The Herald running your race will be able to give you three hints, but it will add time to your run and delay your total time. Breaking of any rull will result in your disqualification. There will be prizes awarded to the first, second and third fastest in this race. As well as a chance to win some Herald chips for just participating. So, if you wish to try your luck and prove you're not only the fastest, but wittiest Serin around take a chance and run The Great Serin Race.

Creation Day marks the anniversary of the creation of the first gnomes by Denadlyr. All across Serin, gnomes celebrate this festive holiday by launching fireworks. In recent years, the excitement of Creation Day has spread to all races of Serin. Not to be outdone, the gnomes have begun taking their celebrations to a new level by using their fireworks to launch themselves into the sky.

All you have to do is send a note to Herald with what you feel is the most creative way to cook or bake a gnome. The type of food is your choice. The winner will be chosen by the Heralds and myself. The winner will receive a prize of 50, 000 coins while the two runner ups will receive receive a prize of 25, 000 coins. So, get to thinking and stir those creative juices. The winner and the runner ups will also be featured in the Mystique as well for all to enjoy their methods. There is no limit on creativity, so please be as creative as imaginable. While I know some of you are expert explorers please leave some eggs behind if you already have some so others can find some as well. Be sure to write a note to the Heralds stating what you found and where you found it so we can reward you with a quest for joining our Dragon Hunt. You can either smash the eggs when you find them or hold on to them as souvenirs. There are also three Golden Eggs. These eggs are worth 25,000 gold and a special Herald Quest so instead of smashing those, bring them to nearest Herald to receive your rewards. Greetings Therans of all ages, I, Trompi, am proud to introduce to you a new event, Trivia of the Miscellaneous. The event is quite simple. Once a renewal, or elven day in older speech, there will be a riddle put on the Herald Board outside of Mocker's Tavern. The riddle indicates a certain item in the realm that will have some sort of effect. Your job, as participants, is to sent a note to Herald with an answer and what the item does. If you speak to a Herald directly the answer will not count. It must be submitted by a note. The event will run for three renewals including today, in which at the end, the winners will be awarded a prize and a Herald quest for winning the Trivia. If one person happens to get two answers correct, the prize will increase, but will still only be rewarded one Herald quest. This celestial's games will take place in Western Thera, some highlights of this area include, but not limited too, Valour, Storm Hill, Forest of Illusion, The High Tower of Sorcery. Grunchel will provide you with on location training, tactics, equipment and supplies. Also suggest that you belong to one of the fighter guilds, but he will accept any combantant who has the will to fight. Just send Grunchel a scroll and he will contact you. Greetings to all, This lovely, new event is something that I'm hoping will kick off soon. The Theran Recipe Contest. The event is a simple one, for nothing to demanding is required. All that is asked is for you to send in a recipe to the Heralds via note. The recipes will then be made and tested. There is no requirements for this contest. Just go through and find a good ol' recipe and send it in. Or if you feel inclined to, go out and create a new recipe. Make it something unique, like Jellied Drow Fingers. The recipe doesn't have to involve eating other mortals, but that's just something to go out there. The contest will run from the time posted to exactly 14 Renewals from the post date. You will be judged on creativity and practicality. So get thinking Thera and we'll get cooking.

It will last through four surges (1 week) ending at the time of the day's surge ends. The submissions can be an essy, short story or peom about the topic listed below. Please try to use proper grammer and spelling when writing, as it will affect your score. For poems the minimum length is 10 lines with 30 lines as a maximum count. Essays will have a minimum count of 20 lines and no more than 50 lines. And short stories will have a minimum of 30 lines and no more than 70 lines. The theme is: What are your hopes and dreams, and how do you plan to achieve them. I wish you the best of luck. Anyone may participate. Cabal and Coterie members, denizens of Thera that aren't with a specific group. And even Immortals may submist a work of writing if they wish to.
