Santirris was born like any other Illithid, a single, unremarkable larva among hundreds of other unremarkable larvae. Soon after his arrival, he began showing signs of impressive intellience for his age and was singled out to be trained on his own, away from the others. His teachers focused solely on improving his ability to manipulate the arcane and eventually moved on to tougher subjects. After a while, he began learning how to control the thoughts of others, mainly dim witted creatures and those of lesser intelligence. Santirris excelled in this area and after a few short years surpassed the knowledge of his teachers. With nothing left to learn from them, he set out on his own to the surface world and began journeying to the far off regions.

For years he studied the varying races of Thera, gathering information as best he could. Doing this increased his understanding of the world and bolstered his ability to manipulate the minds of others. The knowledge wasnt enough though, he wanted much more than to simply understand the world. He wanted the entire population of Thera to bow to him and he knew exactly how to achieve that goal. Casting aside the name he was given at birth, Kesstirax decided it was time to begin his pursuit of total domination.

Description:

The Illithid before you can only be described as disgusting. Slime covers his entire body and continues to drip off the ends of his extremities. The mucus-like substance covering him is quite clear, enhancing the natural pallidness of his slate-grey skin. An enormously bulbous head is host to a pair of gigantic, faceted eyes that pull your attention away from the four relatively small tentacles that surround his razor-sharp beaked mouth. Two incredibly thick tentacles extend from both sides of his shoulders and appear to serve as this strange creatures arms. He is nearly eight feet tall when all four of the tentacles that support him are only halfway extended.

It looks like you didn't have enough fights against mages and clerics. Illus eat those up. Maybe not necros. Those can dish out punishment too.

Honestly, I would just avoid competent rangers and warriors as an illu, especially as an illithid. Cone of force I think makes up a lot of ground for the vuln. The classic illu problem is finishing since anyone who instaflees is going to avoid the brunt of dupe damage. Cone lagging an opponent at an opportune time is pretty nice.

The vuln is nasty. I wouldn't have been able to do it either.

Honestly, I know he would have eaten mages up. But the only fights that ever came my way were from fighter classes, and they all abused the shit out of my vuln. Never again will I make an Illithid.

How do you avoid those when you're supposed to protect your cabal grounds? And isn't the point of legion to be feared, not to avoid fights?

              Graveyard necro ftw.

Also, it's not hard to defend a cabal. Especially against one person.
