A Grand VisionAeil was an elven seer. She was wise, she was beautiful, and she was a
phenom. Most elven seers are old, twisted things. Not Aeil. She was only
fifty years old and was considered quite young for an elf but she had the
gift of foresight. Things came to her in her dreams and while not always
completely true, there were enough bits of her visions that did come true
that she was very highly respected by her people.
Aeil lived in the elven village and had a comfortable life. She need not
toil away with physical labour or defend the village upon the walkways. She
was far too important. Her gift kept the village relatively safe,
pinpointing roughly the tenday in which the next orc raid would come. This
was a massive advantage as the village was able to recall their warriors,
double the guard and double the scouts in such periods.
So it was that Aeil found herself with a lot of free time. She quickly
became bored of the valley and quickly found her way to Seringale. She
loved the energy and the tumult of the large city. She threw herself into
it. She visited the pet shop frequently to see the animals. She would
follow the delicious smell to the bakery. She would even stop in at a
tavern or two. It was upon one of these jaunts that she wandered into a
human named Lalgyen.
Lalgyen was an exceptional specimen of a man. He was fully six feet tall,
with wide shoulders, flowing blonde hair and a chiseled chin. It was lust
at first sight. Never in the history of Serin has it ever been difficult
for an elf to seduce a human. So it was that their relationship began. It
was a relationship of fiery passion that soon turned to love and devotion.
Before long, they had a son. He was precious and he was beautiful. There
was one problem though. To Aeil's family he was seen as a bastard. You
see, elves can be horribly racist and so it was for Aeil's family. They
spurned her and her child, refusing to call him by anything other than
'halfbreed'. Aeil was at first shocked but then she became angry. She
would not be cast out, for she would leave. He was her flesh and her blood.
She loved him with all her heart and she loved Lalgyen.
They went back to Seringale with their young baby, named Aethon. There they
made a living for a short time. Lalgyen continued his trade as a blacksmith
and Aeil found work with the healer guild. One night, though, everything
would change.
Aeil awoke with her breast heaving. Her sheets were drenched and her tongue
was bleeding. She had just had the most vibrant vision of her entire life.
She saw her child, Aethon, walking the streets of Valour. People were
bowing to him. There were Knights of Valour following him. As he stepped
through the streets it seemed as though the clouds parted and golden rays
fell down upon him.
Aeil knew that they must immediately move to Valour and raise their son
close to the Knights of Valour. They would have to nurture his heart as
they steeled his resolve. They would have to prepare him for the grand
battle, as it was his destiny to become a Knight of Valour.
Description:
He looks to be of mixed race between elves and men. He is about six feet
tall, with delicate features like an elf but his shoulders are wider set and
he looks a bit heavier. He is still of slighter build than a human but
certainly bigger than an elf. He has smooth, fair skin that is completely
free of blemishes and imperfections. His straight, blonde hair is pulled
back behind his ears and reaches down to his waist. He has fine blonde
eyebrows that rest easily above two sparkling blue eyes. He has a sharp
nose and thin lips, turned down in a slight frown as if he is lost in
concentration. It is difficult to say for certain but it seems like the air
around his presence has a slight chill to it.
