Life for illithid is not as glamorous as it may appear from the outside.
Those caves are just as dark, just as cold as they have been on your
previous travels through them. Once in a generation, an albino illithid is
born. Fortunately, this time it occurred as the son of a well to do member
of the hive, if such a thing exists. Still, life was relatively uneventful,
except for the mindpool. Year after year, living amongst your brothers and
sisters, emerging and hoping each time one of them would come on land as
well.
This is what makes my life of exploration so gratifying. To walk each day
through the world, instead of dreaming of life outside a pond. I walk
towards the furthest expanses I can, for my million brothers and sisters
still living in the Underdark.
Upon arriving in Timaran, he was brought in by a religious family.
Sorcerors.
Were their ways foreign? Yes. Did life suddenly involve crystals and
spells and runes? Absolutely.
Still, grateful for a warm bed and a full belly, the young adept began to
embrace the spellbooks, the rumors of lands uncharted, the secrets Serin was
waiting to unfold to them.
Description:
Paler than most, this illthid has dark red veins coursing through their
almost transparent skin. Their squid-shaped head reflects the light in a
sticky glow. Deep black eyes pace back and fort frantically. They are
smaller than the average human and as lithe as can be. Still, something
confident radiates from them. It might be their stature, or their gait, but
it's more than that. As he glides towards you, hovering 6" above the
ground, his confidence becomes the last thing on your mind.
Any insights on my favorite class?
