Gender: Female
Level: 42
Class: human necromancer

Background history:

Description (commended):

A stunning woman stands here seductively, radiating an aura of youth and vitality. Raven-coloured locks of wavy hair are braided and decorated with bands of babys-breath flowers. Dark kempt eyebrows, rose-blushed cheeks, sparkling blue eyes, and large ruby lips conveys an image of beauty even the gods are jealous of. She has flawless, unmarked skin, smooth and light. Her slim waist is accentuated by swaying hips and perky breasts. As she passes a reflective pond, a polished set of armor, or a mirror at the market, you notice a different entity. It is difficult to cut through the haze of reflections but it appears that the once alluring seductress has been replaced by a haggardly, old crone. A face of youth and vigor is now one of listless sunken eyes, and sagging, wrinkled cheeks. Grey, wispy hair hangs lifelessly about her face, like dead moss from a willow tree. The reflection notices your gaze and quickly retreats.

I struggle with necros but I have seen some OP with the right. Any hints or tips.

Maybe spells you need or never used?

I by no means have ever had a successful necromancer (especially recently), but I’ll say that they are incredibly versatile. You can stack damage and go rend life, go all out maldictive, stack afflictive and go acid blast (never seen this used and always wanted to try it).

The biggest thing is preparation. Being able to get charmies and always having pots. Get this though. You can try a couple of different ways and get it wrong and NO ONE will think any less of you. This is a game and the ultimate goal of it is to have fun, once it stops being fun you can play it a different way or go do something else.

Necromancers have great sustainability thanks to vamp touch and that mana regen ability. I found I could summon a weaker mob and use either ability on it, hit sleep and still catch the tick. Potentially you could have a lot less down time in between chase phases in a pk situation. This gives you a chance to catch your prey with their pants down where a lot of classes don’t have that option because they lack these abilities.

The biggest downside I find is that people rarely want to fight you unless you don’t have a full army. Also being original with RP is a tough one

Necro has changed dramatically since you were last around ,Vertas. (super glad you are back btw!!) Zombies don't get as many attacks per round as they use to. Most of your go-to zombies do only do 1 attack. Thief guardian might get 2, but he's under levelled to begin with at rank 45. Flesh and stone golems had second attack removed, so only one attack each from those guys. Vamp touch got a massive nerf and how well it heals is based on the level of mob you are vamping. Vamp touching dryads at 35 mana for a return of 14 hp is a tough ratio now. If you fail sleep on an opponent, you can't flee and try it again. It's like a 2 or 3 hour cool down timer on your opponent. Zombies explode eventually if you don't strength damn them. Strength damned timer is 120 or 150 ticks now? So you can't really build a really strong army unless you play for a very long time. Ghoul frenzy no longer works on your zombies.

Now they did get some new stuff that looks cool.
The Ossuary is a very nice addition. It replaces one of your golems. You can keep feeding it higher level corpses than itself to continue growing in it power. You can get him passed rank 50 too. He's essentially a healthy(at higher ranks) meat shield/tank.
