Chalktala exiled from Warlords by Liraleyn
-----------------------------
As some of you may have noticed, Chalktala no longer holds the title of
Warmaster. My duty being to investigate everything about the Warlords, I
immediately bombarded Chalktala with questions. All he would tell
Sersul though, is that he'd done something that wasn't right according
to his code of honor, and he was stepping down as punishment to
himself... When or even if the respected warrior decides to come
back is unkown, but I hope he finds peace with himself for whatever
he did.

Michealei's decent into darkness by Myojin
-----------------------------
The battle between good and evil is a never ending struggle
but it seems that the light is losing it's threshold. One
walker of the light has realized the Knights no longer hold
the crown of power and decided to jump from the sinking
ship. This ex-Knight is Michealei Alaslicht, who I spoke
to rather briefly but witnessed more than I should have,
prepare to read as the taint of corruption claims another.
I was sitting within the conservatory when I saw her she
was no longer executor nor a Knight.. I queried why and she
told me it was time to move on to something else, she wasn't
willing to give me many details as I found out why shortly
after. After the brief encounter with her she strolled off
outside the east of town, I wanted to know more so I followed
her from a short distance. I watched her walk within the
confines of my home town, though strangely enough I saw her
luring a gnome child away from the stream and back onto the
road. She held the child within her arms and continued east
until she hit the Keep of D'al Kadar, she stood at the entrance
with the child and started to chant an incantation. It was
defiantly nothing I've ever heard before, she held the child up
high like she was offering it to the keep as a sacrifice.
Suddenly she stopped chanting and dropped the child, placed
her foot upon his throat, wielded a mace and smashed it upon
his face splattering his brains on the door of D'al Kadar, I was
stunned. What did she invoke? I do not know, though It was
defiantly something evil. As she turned I saw a red glimpse in
her eye. I've seen this glint before, the glint of corruption! I ran
back to the conservatory to scribe this as I believe everyone
must hear the tale.

Though she still walks the light, I can assure you this Healer
is nothing but a Shaman with a halo above her head. She left the
knight to pursue the profession of the Shaman, I saw it all! I
leave you with these words this Dwarf is dangerous do not trust
any of her words, for your child might be the next.

Dioraem's Demotion by Liraleyn
------------------
In a mis-understanding between the Gods, Dioraem was lucky to have just
been demoted. Dioraem was having a duel with Occanim when Zasa
decided to cut in. Occanim discontinued her fight with Dioraem, forced to
go at it with Zasa. Dioraem was sitting with a local at North Square when
he decided he should gather purple potions while the unmoving fight
between Zasa and Occanim dragged on. Apparently he spoke of the fight
and said 'I might as well beat Zasa to the purples.' The Gods took it as
aiding evil and Dioraem faced exile before he explained his intent. The
Gods saw it fit to just demote him, then, for his 'ignorance.' Well, atleast
he wont have to worry about carrying a rope to mount a horse anymore,
although I have no doubt that the intrepid halfling will get back on his feet
(or steed) in no time.

The Golden Gnome by Liraleyn
---------------
Yes, the rumors are true! Myojin is a billionaire! This gambling addict
spent days upon days at Keldynn's wheel in the Drunken Beggar, gambling as
much as three hundred thousand gold a spin. Of course, the gnome's winning
streak turned sour, as this attracted quite a bit of attention from both
mortals and immortals. Long story short, the bank was robbed and Myojin now
has to spend ten times the amount to buy something. Lady luck is a fickle
mistress indeed.

THERAN MYSTIQUE HEADLINES (Part Two)

Pirates sack of Seringale by Istina
-------------------------
Ah, one of those classic calm evening turn bloodbath stories.
Unsuspecting I sat at my usual spot on the fringes of South Square
observing the crowds strolling by. Nodding royally at those whose
greetings I found worthy acknowledging. "Papa?!" I heard a voice. Turning
to see crazed or confused ninja gawking at me in an instant it was
obvious that no such creature could have been product of my fornication.
I dismissed him with disgust. And yes you guess it right dear reader, my
so-called progeny turned on me. The battle was a trifle more then a
bother, but it was tedious. Zasa would simply not give up, even when
Asaroth came to aid unbidden. Not long after the infamous thief turn
pirate Blonk stepped out of shadows to deal some led to fiery giant. At
that point Seringale erupted in violence and chaos. From nowhere a true
friend, Warmaster Chalktala, death marked Zasa. The unseparable twins
Jannus and Micheleai stormed in and engaged everything that walked,
flown, or slithered. Pirates rallied to the cause, while Zasa met dire
fate at hands of Chalktala near Moria's mines.

In town battle raged and in the end pirates proved too much of a foe for
the knights. Their array of skills was pivotal in gaining the edge (Blonk
deftly put them to sleep while Ronus had his evil voodoo ways with them).
Of course the good old pirate math states that three is better then two,
so they embraced Zasa. Among the three of them they easily dealt with
their adversaries bringing the night to an end with a ferocious display
of the power of the numbers. I bring you the butcher's bill:
->Asaroth, two times, both in Seringale first at hands of Blonk, second
well like as not again Blonk or Ronus.
->Zasa, subdued by Warmaster in Moria.
->Jannus, twice also, both at hands of pirates.
->Istina, that would be me, well at the time three were beating at me, but
just before I blacked out I am certain Blonk lunged with his spear at me.
->Michelaei, the executor, met rather identical fate as me.
->Chalktala, shocked as you may be, the pirate trio was indeed end of this
brave warrior, they caught up with him near the Mansion.

Departure of Davairus by Kailya
---------------------
Davairus spent most of his younger life wandering the
wilderness, until he was captured by Legion to face a
life of torture and pain. From this suffering he then
learned the ways of a dark-knight, and knew it wasn't
what he desired to become. Failure by his captores to
teach him the ways correctly made it possible for him
to escape their grasps. Davairus wandered Thera alone
for many years discovering new and exciting lands, he
sold directions of their locations to eager travelers
upon his visits to Seringale for a little extra gold.
Suffering in silence for years without a complaint to
anyone, Lodur watched and desired to have Daviarus be
among the heavens with him, freeing his soul of pain.

Well, I wrote this out of respect for a great man, We
gained and lost Davairus, as quickly as he came to us
he departed. I can't speak for all of you, I can only
say I will miss him greatly. Davairus gave Thera alot
of wonderful changes, he worked hard and suffered for
each and every Theran. The loss he suffered for us is
one that noone should have to endure, I only have one
thing to say, Thank you for what you gave us, I wish
you well the future.

Lucilde exiled from Warlords by Liraleyn
------------------------------
Lucilde was apparently quite fed up with most of Thera's inhabitants and
in the Warlords, she found a place to get away from all the insanity... A
place where she felt she was free to believe in whatever she wished, as
long as honor and excellence were paramount. But nothing good lasts as
long as you'd like, and if it's perfect you don't have long until fate decides
to give you the thumbs down. Lucilde was immediately disgusted after
reading Chalktala's new restrictions and shortly after, attacked a stupified
monk unprovoked. For her insolence she was removed from the cabal and
I can only assume she has died or moved on, either way, to a better
place for her.

THERAN MYSTIQUE HEADLINES (Part Three)

New shops in Seringale by Myojin
----------------------
The leather shop has been shut down and now there seems
to be an establishment called 'Mundo's Novelty Shop' who
sells a variety of goods to the citizens of Thera. First
on the menu we have rum flavored dung balls, quite the
delacy in some parts of Thera. Secondly we have a red santa
hat, whichcosts five thousand coins to those without the
touch, it has no affects upon it, nor can it be enchanted
though it is rather cute. One of my favorite items the
colourful yet mostly red parot.. It sits upon your arms
instead of your arm wares, funnily enough it repeats what
is said within a small area, be weary though it is cursed
and you'll need to have the priests remove it. Upon glancing
through the items I saw a blindfold, which I tried before
purchasing it. I could sense who was in the room but
unfortunatly where I stood was a mystery. You need arrows?
Perhaps you might try your hand at one of Mundo's wooden
chickens, from what I believe it's an arrow though it's
affects are beyond my capacity. The two most powerful and
useful items within the shop are the two punching boxes,
which ironically a punch springs out of the box punching
the wielders foe. He has two varieties avaible for those who
can afford such an item, the first 'a shocking punch-in-a
box' seems to be some sort of luminious punch meanwhile
the second box is called 'a brilliant punch-in-a-box' Both
are powerful weapons and fit under the exotic catagory.

Wups? by Liraleyn
----
After being agnoized by a thief's constant harassment, the young Drow
shaman Fer, decided it was time to play on the thief's overconfidence.
Leading him into the sewers, he found the requisite spot to set his trap.
He dropped himself into the center of Thera and waited in mid-air for the
cocky bastard to take the bait. The thief bit. Unfortunately for him, he
wasn't able to do anything but stay in battle, while the shaman cured
and harmed away. The fight was in the bag for Fer... But, of course,
what kind of fight would it be without Fer's trademark cuckoo remarks?
'Wups?' was all Fer was able to get out to the brash thief before one
last harm. And really, it was ample enough.

Touch of Midas by Istina
--------------
In recent past certain Herald individuals through incredible luck and
likely some demon's intervention came into possession of riches
unthinkable even by our ever-vigilant immortals. Sitting on the top of
their golden tower these individuals became creatures of power threatening
Thera's economy itself. Imagine armies of ever-flying dark-knights and
fire giants their unquestioned loyalty bought by seemingly endless source
of gold.Baffled our godlings pondered how to approach this problem when the
solution almost literally landed in their laps. The Lich-god of wealth
planes away from the mouth of the Grim Reaper himself heard about
unthinkably rich individuals, so rich that even gods fret over them.
Initial amusement was in mere seconds replaced with jealousy and
instantly he decided to send them a gift. And a gift it was... From hands
of Lord Burzuk himself the wealthiest men of Thera received the curse of
Midas, cruel irony saturated hex that beggared them. Heavens were more
then pleased seeing their realm shift back into balance without the need
of their intervention. So puny mortals the moral is simple: Don't get too
rich, you never know when it might wex some lich.

Occanim steps down as warmistress by Kazshi
---------------------------------
Recently, I had a chance to sit down and speak with the former mortal
leader of the walords, Occanim. This gruff but kind duergar had a few
things to tell me about her latest move in life. Occanim is a very "to the
point kind of person, so I directly asked her: Why are you no longer
Warmistress? She informed me that for an extended amount of time, she'll
immortals either agreed with her, or had some part in the decision.
Regardless, She has no hard feelings at all. In fact, she seemed to be a
bit overjoyed with the news. She told me that she much preferred the thrill
of battle a blademaster receives, without having the troublesome
responsibilities of warmistress. All in all, I agree with her that for now,
this is the best decision.

2) New guild abilities explained

Explained

NEW GUILD ABILITIES EXPLAINED by Myojin
-----------------------------

Bow :
The gods have decree that bows should be within their own
weapon proficiency. They blessed the Rangers, Warriors and
Thieves with the prowess to wield a bow, which takes up both
hands obviously. Note that bows require ammo which are
spread throughout the realms to fire. The gods claimed there
was a reason for doing such, it seems the point of the bow is to
prevent your opponent from duel wielding because the only way
to stop yourself being hit by arrows is to either be under the
influence of Counterbalance ( see counterbalance below for
more information ), those with shield block obviously while
wearing a shield, the mages protective shield, a monks
defensive empowerment and those wielding a two handed
non-bow weapon.

Counterbalance :
This skill is all about mobility which is why it was granted to
Thieves, Bards and Ninjas. It enhances their evasion rate
on dodge, while they will not be under counterbalance while
duel wielding, wielding two handed weapons and wearing shields.
Though held items such as stones, books or instruments will
not unbalance them thus allowing a Bard to wield a flute while
being affected by counterbalance. This skill is also used to
dodge arrows completely rendering bow wielders almost useless
against a counterbalanced foe. Counterbalance works on the
main point of shifting the balance between the body which is
unhindered with just one weapon, it allows them to be swift
and maintain balance which even helps evade trips or bashes.

Point Blank :
While bows were granted to several professions point blank was
solely passed to Warriors. Point Blank is a skill which allows the
Warrior to use an arrow to stab at the victim when wielding a
loaded bow once during each round of combat. It also grants
the Warrior the ability to parry while wielding a bow which makes
them rather deadly with such a weapon.

Racial Legacies:
Legacies have been formed from evolution, intelligence and
mastery of areas and skills, which have been passed on to
certain races who choose a certain path. Below I shall ellaborate
on the current six racial legacies avialable for three differant
paths.

Elf Rangers - Forestmeld and Trueshot :
Elves are incredibly smart and over time have mastered the use
of the forestlands more than any other race within Thera. At this
time Elf Rangers had learnt to remain hidden at distances within
any forest at all times, only those who have a high intelligence
may spot them from a far. Whilst those with a smaller intelligence
may have to be almost right next to them for them to visible,
they named this ability Forestmeld. An addition to this Elf Rangers
are also masters of the bow have developed a skill called Trueshot
which is a passive skill, while holding any type of bow they gain
higher accuracy and more damage than any other bow wielding
foe as they increase in ranks the more powerful they become.

Dwarf Berserkers - Blooding and Final Reserve :
Dwarves are known for their temper and it seems they have
finally learnt to control it on a higher level than any other race.
They have gained what they call 'Blooding', which they have
gained over time during the course of evolution. When a Dwarven
Berserker enters a rage, the blood within their body is pumped at
a higher rate than any race thus allowing them to become more
hardy and endure more wounds. Unfortunately the Dwarf must be
fighting another adventurer to gain such a bonus as they can only
enter the evolved state of rage within such conditions. Dwarves
being the most hearty and durable race within the realms have
once again learnt to use that 'Final Reserve' of energy, this is the
Dwarves final attempt at killing their foe as when they reach their
the verge of death, right before they die they will unleash several
attacks on the victim causing death to their opponent if the fight
is close.

Drow Ninjas - Shadowmeld and Poison Mastery :
Drow are sneaky by nature and as Ninjas they can walk into any
city and instantly become hidden from those at a distance, much
like the Elf Rangers Forestmeld, just within city limits. The second
ability they have learnt is 'Poison Mastery' being usually deceitful
and the epitome of evil, they now apply poison onto their weapon
right before an assassination attempt causing the victim to be
writhing with poison if the attempt is to fail. These walkers of the
shadows are now more dangerous than ever.

3) Cabal Affairs

Affairs

CABAL AFFAIRS

[KNIGHT]
We at the Theran Mystique are not impressed with Lord Aberdours efforts
to restore 'the balance of honor and valor' to Thera. To begin with, having
your Executor spit upon the Knights before turning her back on you forever
do not impress the evil doers of the land to repent their sins. Which is
exactly what Michealei has done. Tethesis is now the most senior ranked
Knight.

Another veteran Knight, Liatran ended her own life after a losing battle.
Iystindyl angered the Gods and was denied life. Daelric and Ragriken has not
been spotted for some time. Eluch has also ended his own life although the
reason is unknown.

Current Knights: Tethesis, Jannus, Daelric, Dioraem, Ragriken, and Edynarius.

[JUSTICE]
Ahhh our favorite Cabal. The justices. Last issue I announced Sadlbro, Lorath
and Thamivon were drafted in to replace to the latest batch of failures. If you
have been following this column, it will come as no surprise to learn that Lorath
and Sadlbro themselves have been removed from Justice for angering the gods.
Although Lorath still lives, Sadlebro does not.

The once seemingly endless stream of poorly trained inapt Justices seem to be
drying up though. Only Rosenezi and Vhrael could be dragged up from Jeebus knows
this time where to fill the ranks.

Current Justices: Rosenezi ,Thamivon, Vhrael ,Argoris, Jhol,Jezikapine, and Verikoz.

[WARLORD]
These Warlords cannot decide who should lead them. Last issue I reported Chalktala
had replaced Occanim as Warmaster. This issue I can go one better and report that
Chalktala has not only stepped down as Warmaster but has been exiled from the
Warlords and hunted until his life was no more. The position of Warmaster may be a
powerful one but it is fraught with danger.

Despite Chalktala's disgrace and subsequent exile, the Fortress barracks are in good
shape. Tolmir, Aerandir, Zharek and Uguzu have been accepted since our last issue
with Ferdinos ending his life. Both Lucilde and Sujin was exiled also .

Warlord Roster: Occanim, Dumuzi, Xyrone, Tolmir, Aerandir, Cribbus, Zharek, Iangretor
and Uguzu.

[HERALD]
Once again I am happy to report that us heralds are in fine shape. Our Halls are filled
with hard working scribes busily committing reports from all over Thera onto parchment.
Unfortunately Ranqisk, a highly promising young scribe, is not longer with us. He ended
his life after a recent battle with Fer and shall be missed. Raduryn and Kazshi have both
also vanished our gaze once more. Fortunately the veteran Herald Spalino has returned
from his travels to entertain us with his tales.

Current scribes: Istina, Kailya, Spalino, Liraleyn, Myojin, Raduryn, Kazshi

[LEGION]
This scribe is becoming increasingly frustrated with trying to invent creative yet
entertaining ways to fill this section. As I said in the last issue, I am in more danger
from dying from paper cuts than at the hands of a Legionnaire .This may be the respite,
the calm before the storm. Or it may be the natural and slow death of the once feared
Legion. We can only hope so.

4) Battles

Battles1

BATTLES (Part one)
------

Here we have a roundup of notable battles that have
recently taken place in Thera. The fighting below were
observed and recorded by the heralds Myojin, Liraleyn,
Istina and Liraleyn.

***
Ghalmirr fought Blonk-

Ghalmirr attacked blonk and the scroll shop
was closed. A short battle with Ghalmirr being
tripped to death in a few short rounds of
combat.
Blonk was victorious.

***
Dumuzi vs Istina-

It was a brawly fight in streets of Seringale. Lucky the Herald
managed to land most of desired spells then danced around Warlord
as he slowly deteriorated. In the end cheered Herald prevails by
few blows. All in all a good match.
Herald wins!

***
Ghalmirr vr Sokol-

Ghalmirr killed Sokol while Sokol's mind was
in deep thought, Zebesa saw this and went to
collect a clear potion. Ghalmirr attacked Zebesa
then Zebesa sought the aide of Mishakel the
healer to slay him. They faught hard as all of
them nearly fell countless times. In the end
Ghalmirr fell to Zebesa and Mishakel.
The lightwalkers claimed victory

***
Xyrone vs Erdessa-

In the Arena, Xyrone and Erdessa fought to the stun. It was a huge
battle of wit and skill. In the first few rounds, Xyrone devestated Erdessa
with his Warlord prowess, but things then quickly turned! Erdessa started
dealing mighty blows, for she used her Knightly skills and as such became
victor of this duel to the stun.
Erdessa won.

***
Istina vrs Chalktala-

The Herald Istina accepted Chalktala challenge and the duel was fought in
Seringale. Early exchanges were all one sided as Istina was frustrated in
his attempts infest the warlord with dysentery and receiving in return a
flurry of blows that constantly forced him to flee the battle to tend his
wounds. Realizing a change in tactics was needed, Istina unlashed
successive grasping phantoms which reduced the Warlord to crawling
desperately through the alleyways and walls of Seringale. Istina was not
able to land the fatal blow however and Chalktala recovered to land two
devastating cobra strikes which left Istina lying stunned upon the dirt.
Chalktala was victorious.

***
Dioraem vrs Dumuzi-

The duel between the Ranger knight Dioraem and the Warlord Dumuzi took place
in the Arena in Seringale. The fight began evenly with both duelists blinding
the other with dirt and exchanging blows. However Dioraems skill at disarming
and his forest beasts swift strikes soon began to tell on the Warlord. Despite
unsheathing his club for final rally, Dioraem and his pets left the Warlord
stunned upon the arena floor.
Dioraem was victorious.

(Continued in Battles2)

Battles2

BATTLES (Part two)
------

Tolmir vrs Vollins-

The duel between the invoker Vollins and Warlord Tolmir was fought in Liberty.
Ignoring the pain and singed fur from the hellstreams, Tolmir first kicked
dirt into his oppoents eyes leaving him blind and confused before charging head
first into the invoker, ending the short duel abruptly with a flury of mid air
blows from his axe.
A swift victory for Tolmir and a valuble lesson for Vollins.

***
Argoris fought Nyemes-

Daylight was approaching and Argoris saw an opening for an attack,
though he didn't know where the vampire had fled from the first
assault. Wilibald saw Nyemes run through Timaran and to the
north, Argoris bought the infortmation off Wilibald for some coin.
Nyemes was apprehended at the gates to Gasterides fortress.
Argoris was victorious.

***
Tolmir vs Chalktala-

A duel that ended with Tolmir's defeat. They clashed in the Emerald
Forest... Tolmir began with the upper hand, giving Chalktala a good run
through the woods, Frostbrand in hand. Chalktala managed to disarm him
and the tides turned. Tolmir sundered trees as he ran for his life, but
Chalktala managed to catch up to him and bash him to death. A closely
matched fight that ended in yet another close call for Chalktala.
Chalktala defeated Tolmir

***
Hodierna vs Xyrone-

Hodierna was beaten by Xyrone in a duel to the stun. The two agreed to
fight each other in the arena. Hodierna started off pretty well, although
she held off on using purple. After Xyrone managed to disarm her sword
however, things went downhill for the halfling ranger. Unable to use
anything else, she equipped a dagger and made one last stand. She
faught unafraid to the end (stun).
Xyrone was the victor.

***
Ghalmirr vs Tethesis-

Ghalmirr attacked Tethesis and fell in combat
to him, shortly after Ghalmirr crushed the
Knight and it was placed back into being even.
Tethesis and Ghalmirr killed each other once.

***
Jannus and Erdessa vs Ghalmirr-

Jannus and Erdessa attacked Ghalmirr. They
fought a long and perspiring match but Ghalmirr
killed Jannus and escaped Erdessas grasp.
Ghalmirr proved too much for these two.

***
Xyrone vs Semmatim-

The battle between Xyrone and Semmatim was fought at the gnome village.
Semmatim showed Xyrone the meaning of flight as he was constantly forcing
the action on Semmatim. In the end, and after many a hit and run, Xyrone
finally left his opponent all but dead with about three quarters health
left.
Xyrone was the victor.

***
Araevin fought Uguzu-

I heard the first yell from the duel then went too see what was going
on, Araevin had fled I followed Uguzu with a quick pace and saw him
shread this invoker into minuet pieces, two rounded from what I saw.
All that was left was a few hacked limbs, I must say I found this...
Amsuing.
Uguzu anihilated Araevin.

Battles3

BATTLES (Part Three)
-------

Jannus and Tolmir-
Round One :
Jannus the Elf Invoker Knight fought Tolmir the Minotaur
Warrior Warlord within the bounds of Liberty. Tolmir just
couldn't get his forms working and Jannus just out
damaged him with hellstream and his trust stallion, was
over fairly quickly. Jannus only finished with a slither of
health was a good fight.
Jannus was victorious.
Round Two :
Once again within Liberty, except this match went for a
little longer as Tolmir ate a un-stanced hellstream. As
he ran around the battlements trying to heal his wounds,
Jannus never gave up and pursued him, eventually Tolmir
was mortally wounded by hellstreams. Jannus only took
a few beatings as the Warlords forms failed him again.
Jannus was victorious.

***
Dumuzi vs. Zygula-

Dumuzi lost to Zygula in a duel within the Gnome Village, under the terms
that Dumuzi was not allowed to dirt kick. Of course, once it was apparent
that to Dumuzi that he was losing, he couldn't resist a few attempts. They
didn't help much, and Zygula fled to the stream to fight, but Dumuzi put
up a good fight none the less.
Zygula was victorious

***
Tethesis vs. Zygula-

The brave Knight battled Zygula in Seringale (mostly) and the river Adelon.
Zygula failed to land many maledictions and turned to curing and harming
for tactics, fighting on the river when he could. Tethesis employed dirt,
flee, and charge strategies to overcome the shaman. Zygula fought well
but died, ending the lengthy skirmish.
Tethesis was victorious.

***
Zasa vs. Wilibald-

The pirate ninja viciously murdered the lovable halfling thief within the walls
of Seringale. Wilibald, dumbfounded, tried to call a parley after Zasa's
failed strangle attempt. Zasa ignored him and persisted to attack. Wili put
up a good fight but Zygula joined in with Zasa and the two of them finished
the thief with ease.
Zasa won.

***
Gadale vs Tolmir-

Gadale's first loss to a Warlord... A spectacular fight that took place in
the city of Liberty. Gadale managed to steal a couple of axes and pull off
an impressive backstab to begin with, sending Tolmir on the run, but not
quite out of the fight. His streak ended quickly, however, with a failed pry
attempt. Gadale was still ahead though, and thought to trip Tolmir,
attempting to end the fight quickly. Unfortunately his strategy turned out
badly for him, and he was defeated. Tolmir was victorious, but not by
much.

***
Aerandir vs Bazthis-

Aerandir completely annihilated the halfling druid, Bazthis, in the Arena of
Seringale. Bazthis failed to curse Aerandir with any incantations and was
easily defeated. Bazthis, enfuriated, asked for another fight. Aerandir
agreed, warning Bazthis that this time would be to the death. The over-
confident Bazthis took the bait and was utterly destroyed again. Aerandir
holds his arms as victory tokens.
Aerandir was the victor.

***
Aerandir vs Edynarius-

These closely matched fighters battled within Seringale's Arena. At first it
wasn't apparent as to who the victor would be. Edynarius was doing more
damage with his animals, but Aerandir managed to catch the ranger in
between drinking purple potions. Alas, Edynarius soon ran out of those,
ending the stalemate, and the outcome was soon apparent.
Aeandir was the victor.

5) Gossip from the Drunken Scribe

Gossip1

GOSSIP FROM THE DRUNKEN SCRIBE. (Part one)
We bring you the latest gossip from the Drunken Scribe patrons.

Ruthless Vollins hires goons to destroy love rival by Kailya
------------------------------------------------
Here's a bit of juicy gossip for all of you nosy... Um,
romantically-interested Therans. Liraleyn, our happy-go-lucky
soon-to-be-married Herald, has apparently been emitting attractive vibes to
eager, unmarried males (or just Really Horny Dwarves, I'm not sure), for one
particularly unsatiated paladin took it upon himself to woo, pursue, and
serenade her despite her impending marriage with Vollins. The town invoker,
when he heard of her complaints, was infuriated by this presumptuous bearded
midget. Instead of dirtying his hands with any sort of demeaning deed (or,
unwilling to subject his back to such strenuous exercise), Vollins promptly
called up Blonk for reinforcements. The pitiful cry of "Help help!" Was
met with a flurry of Blonk's vengeance as he sallied forth, chasing the
miscreant around and beating him to a pulp. Not satisfied with making dwarf
patties in his spare time, he decided he needed some pocket change (to play
with Keldynn, obviously) and sacrificed all of the fellow's wares. The
entire silly episode terminated with Blonk's oath to continuously set after
that particular dwarf. I guess he really likes pancakes!

Thamivon's pill swallowing shame by Myojin
--------------------------------
I scribe to you with a more amusing note, I was bored at
north square when I thought of something quite funny to do.
It involved Thamivon and myself, I asked if he wished to
play a game... A game which involves both of us eating
purple pills and racing back to north square. He agreed and
I bought two purple pills and passed one to him, he asked
who wanted to go first and I replied with you may go first Sir
Thamivon. Of course he fell right into my game and ate the
pill first, little did he realize I never had any intention of
eating the pill I just wanted to see if he was going to die.
Unfortunately he did not, now he asked if we wanted to go
again. I replied with of course, let me collect the pills once
more. I passed the pill to him and he asked if I wanted him
to go first again, I figured what an opportunity I figured I would
only get one chance. Alas he ate the pill and once more he
lived and once again I didn't eat mine, I dropped it and
destroyed it. I finally though the game was over when I
thought I'd give it a try, for the third time in a row he wanted
to go first again... He ate the pill and I watched him teleport
off into who knows where, alas he didn't die a third time. I
gave up after this, he just wasn't dying!

Dioraem ropeful for a new rope by Kailya
------------------------------
In other news, Dioraem is out again searching for anyone
who wishes to sell a nice strong rope. Preferably one that
will match his stallion's coat. First Tork tried borrowing the
hide of an everchanging dragon from Liberty...but the
selfish little thing wouldn't let him. After the dragon beat both
Dioraem and Torkalen around the pet shop, they managed
to tie it down with Dioraem's old rope with the aid of his
nice grizzly bear. While Dioraem held the dragon down,
Torkalen tried to cut the little bit of extra skin needed for
that rope, but the evil creature reared free and flew away,
taking Dioraem's only rope with it!

Stallions traumatized! Clesa blamed! by Kailya
---------------------------------
Unsurprising news of Clesa, the bottomless pit! Dioraem says
despite the supposedly rigorous training required to keep our
Knights in top shape, she's still so gargantuan that the
sturdiest of stallions with the stoutest of hearts tremble in fear
when her (neverending) shadow floats across the heavens.
Maybe the trait's just inherent! (Or, now we know why nobody
sees any mice--or leftovers--in the Castle Kitchen!)

Ravenous rabbit terrorizes Seringale.
-----------------------------------
I had just entered the realms when I happened upon Argoris and a fuzzy
pink bunny at the north square. Originally I had only stopped by to say hi,
but when I saw the two fighting, my curiosity took over me. The seemingly
harmless rabbit fled, with Argoris hot on it's heels. Of course, I chased
after them, only to run into the Justice, strangled and unconscious on the
ground, which was soon followed by a most vicious blindness dust. Dare
I say this bunny made a better ninja than me! But I was determined not to be
bested in my own field of expertise! After Argoris made the call to arms
against the little rascal, me and him immediately double teamed it, along
with a few younger adventurers who were a little in over their heads. The
rodent fought back with a flurry of tornadoes, which quickly sent me
running. I doubled back after tending to my wounds, only this time with the
Warlord Iangretor at my side! We met Rilea, Argoris, and Kento at the
North Square and quickly ganged up upon the ferocious, yet still so
adorable little thing. In an attempt to keep people from fleeing, it fought
back with bodyslams this time (though it turned out only to be a minor
inconvenience due to it's size)... The battle lasted for hours until finally
Argoris struck a fatal blow. We stood panting, wounded, and quite
exhausted over the pitiful bloody mass of pink fur, and congratulated
ourselves on a job well done. What dark and unholy spirit possessed this
poor hapless creature remains a mystery, but it is not unkown that the
Immortals wield this kind of power. Whatever it was, all of Seringale
will remember this bloody day, The Reign of the Fuzzy Pink Bunny.

Young ninja to be wed with aging Invoker by Myojin
---------------------------------------
Whispers have traveled to my ear of two Therans who are
madly in love and have decided to unite as one, they have
agreed upon marriage. The two Therans I speak of are
Vollins Vincentio the Avian Invoker and his better half
Liraleyn Sesur the Avian Ninja, Vollins asked Liraleyn
and she agreed to the marriage! A date has not been set
as of yet, but Vollins assures me it's going to be a grand
wedding. I asked Vollins if he had anything to say about
Liraleyn he tells me that she is the reason he is alive to
this day and she is the light within his life, words from a
man in love! On behalf of the Heralds I send
congratulations out to these two Therans, may your life
prosper and be filled to the brim with happiness.

Knights go to the isles by Spalino
-----------------------
Upon waking up from my nap in the square taday I was petitioned by the
archon Tethesis to meet him within the illusionary isles. After a stretch
and a short drink and breakfast at the Scribe I met him at the dock in
Valour. We travelled to the isles where we met Michealei, Merlene, and
Aldacer. It seems that they had learned of Sevokan, a supreme being of the
light was being imprisoned by the nasty Sheundan. The knights had been slaying
them all day with not much difficulty, but Sheundan was a different problem.
The knights fought better then many I had seen in the past. We quickly slew
Sheundan after luring him to the border of his realms trapping him. After his
death Sevokan was released and as thanks granted the knights gifts. From what
I observed the current status of the knights is very strong. I see good things
in the future for them.

6) Reapers Annals

Reapers

Introductions

Dead of night, sleep is nowhere to be found and dawn is hours away.
Brooding in my modest Observatory accommodations makes for a poor
pastime. My curse stripped me of the bustling streets, inn great halls
and luxurious rooms of Darkhaven's brothels. Seems that the evil rumors
of my "gift" erased concept of credit from once appeasing merchants and
establishment owners. No matter, recent events left a lot to ponder over.
Sight of Lord Burzuk was rather unnerving and his words confounding, are
we so vain...
Nervous plucking at strand of linen was interrupted by icy slivers down
my spine, followed by ravaging mixture of terror and hopelessness. As
doors to my room soundlessly open I cannot help but gaze at it terrified.
Evening! a rather cheerful soft voice with a tone of benign mockery
precedes the tall bony figure entering my hall. Upon laying his eyeless
sockets on me perplexed he shuffles through his scrolls "Uhhh, finally,
for a moment you had that look on your face... oh, never mind that...
*cough* He stuffs a crumpled sheet of paper into sleeve of his
voluminous black cape. "Rrr-reaper?" I manage to stammer.
Bewildered the stranger stares at me "You... know who I am?"
Well, truth be told the whole skeleton, huge scythe thing gave you
away...So, where is your mount? Can we go ride? Can I give you the list
of people? Can I touch the scythe? When are you going to take Meriando!?
Could we go to brot.."
Silence mortal! he thundered with a voice that brooked no argument, "I
will have none of this, I come with a task of gravest importance before
you. You shall scribe my annals for this Realm. Fail to do so, and I
shall take you to place of nightmarish horrors when the hour comes!"
Yes, yes... can't really say that I am in the least surprised that you
have came to the greatest scribe in history of Thera with such demanding
work.

Hah, best for the job, I said so didn't I? Humm, are you positive about
the title, Reaper's annals sounds vaguely like" his bony fingers crackle
as his grip on the scythe tightens "...just asking!"
Fear forgotten, we sat and shared some mead as he spoke. He is traveler
of planes, reaper of endless harvest, at his work since the dawn of time.
With ruthless mockery and without heed he bitterly lashed at godlings
encompassed in their own little realms, unaware of just how tiny facet of
gem called universe they form. Haughty, boastful creatures that get
praises for sheer fact that they managed to create small lump of dirt
populated with fearful oblivious creatures, while he... Lord of The Dead
is merely depicted as servant to puny gods doing their bidding. At few
times I felt compelled to shout out "Blasphemy!" with indignation, just
to be on the safe side. He is the evil, the despised, bad... well no
more. He is everywhere, even as we speak he guides the souls to their
deserved rest or pending punishments, observes with unblinking eye (or
socket if you prefer) his future charges, many are his responsibilities.
Surely such a person of stature, such essential form of heavens deserves
to be shown in the true light, deserves the awe and respect of mortals!
He goes on and on in this manner and soon enough dawn was closing upon
us. Soon he shall return with a story for me to tell he assures me as he
soundlessly closes the doors behind him.

Still disbelieving what just transpired I turned toward the cracked
mirror in the corner of my room. First rays of sunlight revealing the
distorted image of the first Death's public relations officer in Thera.

Istina.

7) Whoops!

Whoops

WHOOPS!

Ever see a fellow adventurer do something so blindingly stupid that your
jaw nearly broke when it dropped in shock? Ever watch a fool march happily
in blissful ignorance to an inevitable and painful death? If so, then we
want to hear about it! Send the details to Herald and it shall be displayed
here for all to marvel at.

Look before you pounce! by Ranqisk Stormhammer
-----------------------
As I stand in the North Square this day, I see the most foolish thing anyone
could ever do. A young man by the name of Aicrules was attacked by a man
named Graxxus, as we all now that is not uncommon in the town of Seringale.
But what is uncommon, is to be quite dumb enough to do it right in of a
Justice. Now mind you, this young lad that was attacked died, but right
after the Justice Thamivon flags the offender, the young man that lead this
attack, was slain by a creature that was tracking. Therefore, the flag is
removed, but being the good Justice he is, Thamivon still makes the young
man give up two of his items for his foolish barbarianism. Now ladies and
gentlemen, I ask you how foolish can one be? All I can say of the whole
matter is, Oops.

Never, ever mix spells up!
-------------------------
A few days gone, I was mediating at the temple of light. An elven invoker
with a pudgy face and arrogant expression confidently strode up to my kneeing
person to gaze contemptuously upon my meager wears. Sneeringly, he muttered the
incantation to surround himself with a shield of fire expecting to impress me
with his magics. Until the moment I die, I will treasure the expression of shock
and horror on this fools face as a fireball manifested itself and covered the
entire temple with flame. Engaged the temple priest dealt swift death to this
pompous idiot who died with little more than a whimper.

Temper, Temper.
--------------
This particular berserker was having bad day having lost all his weapons
and armor. Enraged he stormed through Seringale's park and stomped heavily
up the belltower stairs growing more and more ferocious with each step until,
with chest heaving, veins bulging in a sweat soaked scarlet face, the berserker
could finally unleash the full fury of his rage against the harmless old monk
who screamed in panic at the sudden assault. Neither of them counted on the
invoker Vollins strolling nonchalantly into the bell tower to investigate the
commotion. Blinded by bloodlust, the berserker immediately turned upon poor
Vollins causing him to yell in panic. The yell was heard by a Justice who
swiftly performed his duty, bringing death to the naked berserker and leaving
both a smug monk and shocked invoker behind to ponder events.

The Most Dangerous Game by Liraleyn
-----------------------
We (Fer and I) were just having a little chat about the Dreadnaught and his
items in the Isle of Veredal. I argued that he shouldn't be that hard, and
Fer suggested we go there and find out. Of course, I can never resist a
pretty thing, so I decide to leap into the breach as they would say. I was a
little unsure of my footing as we navigated our way through there (Veredal
is a scary place!) We found the giant ant, the witch doctor, and a various
lighting and bitter stench of dead bodies was harrowing my nerves, but Fer
insisted on staying to buy potions from the witch doctor. A little curious as
to how to do it and what he gave you, I agreed to stay. Fer decided to buy
him out. Apparently the witch doctor must not have been happy with that
for he quickly spilled some blood on the ground and performed some kind
of strange ritual (I'm still too shocked to remember the details exactly)
when all of a sudden the lights dimmed and a dark shape took form and
attacked Fer with his fingernail. I stood stupified, befuddled, while Fer was
just giddy with greed. Probably too giddy to know that the Dreadnaught
had been beating on him. Fer just HAD to get one good look at him
before he left. Although, that's all the time the Dreadnaught needed to
blast the most horrific gas I have ever witnessed in my life.

8) Talks with Therans

RonusTalk

Ronus and his crew - Avast ye Therans!

I come with news about Quart master Ronus and his scurvy pirates of the
sea! Many groups of people, families and clans reside within Thera. One of
them are the Pirates of the 'Sea Forth'. These pirates are more organized
than almost any other group with a strict set of rules that are enforced by
Ronus himself. To even speak with Ronus, I was blinded and taken to a
remote location , where my blindness was cured and the interview took place.
This just shows that they mean business, so watch your tongue around these
fellows!

It began with Ronus who was the first and only pirate to land upon Thera
with his trusty parrot on his shoulder. The Sea Forth set sail after leaving
Ronus in Demea Bay. Unfortunately Ronus forgot his chest of gold and he began
with nothing but what he wore. He asked his parrot to scout the islands of
Thera, for the layout of the lands, piles of gold and most importantly to
continually keep lookout for his ship to return to Demea.

Eventually he became familiar with the lands of Thera and made a name for
himself and his voodoo talents, which I remind you he'll always give them
out for free just ask! He was the only pirate, but eventually people came
up to him and asked him if they could join his swashbuckling crew. He had
the rules and guidelines memorized from the ship so he created a parchment
with the rules and regulations of the pirates. He passed the rules to the
three which spoke to him about joining the crew. There are four rules in
which the pirates will abide by at ALL times without fail for failure to
comply will result in a bloody massacre. (Ronus himself sent us a copy of
these rules. You can view them in Therans Talk Back.)

Ronus has recruited three extra crew members since landing upon the shores
of Thera:

Shador, the Dungeon keeper - Monitors the 4 cells bellow deck and issues
torture when required.
Aranoth, the Master Sailor - navigator of the ship, keeps detailed maps
of all the regions, oceans and areas.
Blonk, the Boatswain. - in charge of maintenance and keeping the supplies
plentiful.

There are three more openings within Ronus' crew. Two of these are for
cabin boys, for those long treks across the ocean. Everyone needs some
loving! The lookout is the other position Ronus spoke of, having keen
sight at all times and a high awareness is required! If either of these
spots tickle your fancy or you just wish to let the pirates know your
available to join their ranks... Send a note to Ronus. Though I will
warn you, if you do apply and are successful... By the pirate laws of
the 'Sea Forth' your leg will be removed! Ronus only has one leg, he's
living proof of this rule. The only reason he seeks more crew is because
he lost several members due to them dying from the mutilation.

Ronus and his pirates have one most important duty, that is to continue
sailing once his ship has returned to the docks of Demea. When it does,
all the pirates will be forced to board and set sail. They will never
be allowed to return to Thera, Ronus will be the last the board to make
sure everyone else is aboard before setting sail for a new land. I asked
him if he has an estimated time of arrival for his ship, but alas he knows
nothing of how long it'll be before it arrives.
Overall, I quite enjoyed this scary meeting with Ronus the Quartmaster.
I'll defiantly be trying to stay on his good side I all hope you never
have to cross these pirates as they are organized yet ruthless!

RileaTalk

Rilea - Thera's own coffee addict.

Recently I managed to gain an audience with one of the
tiniest coffee addicts I've ever seen, her name is Rilea
the Halfling thief. This little thief has been around for
quite some time and is more friendly than most, her taste
for the coffee at echo point is astounding. During the
interview she gulped down more than a few cups and was
bouncing off the walls of the drunken scribe before
long.

Rilea was a normal Halfling girl who grew up just north of
the shire in a very remote village, around her eighth birthday
her father took her to live in the shire with no explanation.
Rilea asked why her mother did not accompany them, her
father said she decided to stay back with her friends and
continue her work there. Shortly after Rilea discovered her
father was a liar, she found out that her mother had died
due to a fatal disease and her father just wanted to shield
her from the pain that death brings. Her father had no work
which meant no gold, it came the age where Rilea wanted
to become a scholar within a school but alas her father
did not have the coinage to afford such paths. Rilea took
matters into her own hands and decided to break into
the school, she stole the books so she could teach herself
at no cost. She studied long and hard but everything
changed when she saw a goat upon ones farm, she tells
Sersul that it was the most beautiful stunning white goat
she ever saw... Naturally she decided to steal it and
she kept it as her own, one day she decided that this
goat was good luck and blind folded herself while sitting
on it's back and asked it to take her to her destiny.
Eventually the goat came to a halt and Rilea removed
her blindfold, it seems the goat had lead her to the
entrance of the thieves guild... This is where she enrolled
in becoming a thief and her career started from there.

I asked Lady Rilea if she had any advice for the younger
thieves of Thera, she told me two things. The first, No
matter what size you are, if you want to make an impact
you can! The second was that thieves should not fight
other thieves as they have enough enemies without
quarreling between each other.
Overall, this energetic thief has a heart bigger than I
have seen... If you need help or someone to cheer you
up Rilea is the Lady to speak to.

WHISPERING OF THE WIND by Koga.
-------------------------------
Walking side by side with death,
The devil mocks their every step.
The snow drives back the foot that's slow,
The dogs of doom are howling more.
They choose the path where no-one goes.

They ask no aid from you or me,
The dogs of doom are howling more.
They hold the true words that must get through.

THE WEEKLY GOURMET by Wysren
------------------
This weeks Gourmet will feature a new spice I picked up in Drakath. It is
called 'Lord Burzuk's Allspice'. The motto for this spice is 'Tastes so good,
but you cant understand it.'. It has passed all my preliminary requirements
in my dishes!

This weeks recipe is called 'Green Eggs and Grilled Curry Illithid Tentacles'.
Ingredients:
In weeks past, I included the cooking utensils needed, from now on, I will not
include this in my recipes. You can improvise where necessary.

Lord Burzuk's Allspice
Illithid Tentacles (2 corpses worth)
bakers dozen of eggs
1 pound of butter
1 cup of peanuts
13 green apples
3 tbs red curry
3 tbs green curry (PER EGG)
3 tbs black curry

Cooking Method:
First the easy part: Take the bakers dozen of eggs, and fry them however you want
on a skillet. While they are frying, add the cup of peanuts (before they coagulate)
and then the green curry. Remember, the 3 table spoons are PER EGG. Cook till it
reaches what you like, and remove from the heat.

Seperate the tentacles from the corpses. The way I like to do it, is simply a little
of tugging. If they are stubborn things to tear off, I let one of my zombies use
his unholy strength to do it. I enjoy this method because sometimes the corpses
I use in my cooking are still alive! I like to see the look in their eyes as I
tear them off!!

Dice the tentacles into small cubes. While still raw, add the red curry. Mix.
allow the tentacles to brown a little bit in a pan then add the pound of butter.
Increase the heat to high heat, and cook until a deep red. Add the black curry.
Allow it to remain on the heat for only 17 seconds. Any longer, and the curry
will combust, killing everyone within 3 rooms of you.
Place all fancily on a plate! Finish everything off with a sprinkle of parsley!
Because parsley is cheap! And it makes everything look nice!

For the final touches, sprinkle the Lord Burzuk Allspice over everything. It
will disappear before your eyes, and the taste is now incomprehensibly fantastic!

THERANS TALK BACK (Part Two)

Pirates Code by Ronus
------------
All pirates must adhere to the Pirate's code - we are pirates,
but there is still honor among us. Once invited onto the decks of
the Sea Forth, there are only two ways which you may leave: failure
to reincarnate yourself, or lacking the competence to obey our code.
Both failures will lead to the same result - treacherous murder.

1 - Assault:
============
- Pirates will attempt to fight their battles alone at all times. We
do not form groups to kill an enemy. Nevertheless, this does not
mean we do not coordinate attacks. Premeditated assaults should be
the last result in defeating our prey, and should be used primarily
to defeat multiple targets. However, you should not restrain yourself
from attacking simply because they are already hunted - simply do not
inform other pirates you have found the prey. Coordinated attacks
require that you split the booty, and that's not fun.

2 - Plundering:
===============
- The first thing you will always take from a corpse will be the coins.
We kill for gold or equipment. If the corpse has more than 10,000 gold
in it, you may only take the equipment you will use from the corpse -
we are pirates, not giants - leave the rest behind. If, however, the
corpse has insufficient funds, then you should pillage the corpse and
take everything you can - expensive items may be sold for gold. Always
offer to sell back all items you took and will not need for 50,000 coins,
if they refuses to pay, then attempt to auction them for any price
if
still no one will pay, then offer them to The Creator.

3 - Mutiny:
===========
- All mutinies must be preceded by a note to the current crew of the
Sea Forth. As a member of the Sea Forth, you are not allowed to refuse
a mutiny, but instead defend your honor. Every mutiny must end in death,
and they are the fight of only two crew members at a time. Mutinies are
the result of gold-greed or personal agendas, thus the defeated must pay
the victor 20,000 gold upon his death. A pirate will never mutiny for
equipment and will never plunder the corpse of a defeated member.

4 - Parley:
===========
- Temporary pardons will always be issued to enemies who wish to pay for
them. The price is 40,000 gold for a pardon, and will excuse the enemy
from death, or attempted death, until it is necessary to attack him again.
Necessary cases are those where the pardoned directly, or indirectly,
interferes with the killing of another enemy, or decides to break his own
pardon.

This treasure of love, I cherish within my soul,

With each touch of your heart, I love you more and more.

We could not find him, for a king's ransom,

THERANS TALK BACK (Part Three)

DIARY by Zasa
-----
[2nd Day of the Month of Giving, Year of the Harvest]
Today I liked what we did in school. Some old man who looked like he
was very wise came by the class and taught something he called
engineering. He said it was the way people made inventions. Then
he took out something from his sack and called it a "mousetrap." Its
really easy to make, and everybody made one. I think I can call it
my invention now because I made it.

[13th Day of the Month of the Red Moon, Year of the Harvest]
We moved to Seringale. The people here talk funny. The kids call
their zasa and masas by "papa" and "mama." They don't talk completely
differently but their accented words still sound strange.

I need an allowance. All the other kids get fifteen coins a week. I
am eighteen years old and I never get anything. Zasa and Masa say that
I never do anything useful. Today zasa said "Sontino why are you such
a worthless dog?" I have an idea though. I will catch the rats under
our house. I am good at catching rats. I'll use my mouse traps and then
my knife. Zasa will be proud of me, I bet he will give me twenty coins.

[16th Day of the Month of the Red Moon, Year of the Harvest]
I can write, I am thankful for that. I cannot talk because my jaw is
broken. It hurts so much, but my chest hurts too. I think my heart is
broken. Papa hit me too hard because he was mad at my rats. He said
I was mentally sick and evil. All I wanted was for papa to be happy I
killed all those rats. He didn't give me an allowance. He hit me so
hard that I can't talk, that rat.

When papa and mama fell asleep I sneaked in their room with some
envenomed cheese. I sprinkled some in their mouths as they slept. Rats
always come to the cheese. My shadow helped me do it. It took both of
us to do it quietly.

[20th Day of the Month of the Red Moon, Year of the Harvest]
Its so cold and dark. I'm so scared. What have I done? I miss my zasa.

[3rd Day of the Month of Flowing Wine, Year of the Flying Dragon]
I have committed to writing in this diary on momentous days. Perhaps
someday my story will be the subject of interest, should my business
make me a powerful man. My line of work is killing, though I haven't
made a name for myself yet. I go by the name of Papa Sontino, or rather
Zasa Sontino, in memory of father - who betrayed me... yet who's soul
has haunted me with the unending curse of guilt. I have also found a
new family with the ninja guild. It helps to mend the lonely hole that
has been eaten away in my chest. Some big names walk around with proud
titles like Knight, Justice, and Warlord. I will need to take a few of
them out. Then they may begin to take me more seriously.

[5th Day of the Month of Revelations, Year of the Many Mistakes]
This page will be the last entry in this diary. I no longer have use
for a diary and yet I cannot bring myself to destroy it. Should this
book be found one day, I hope the finder shall also be my messenger
and deliver it to the Heralds, for they are the only ones now who will
care about my story.

I hurt with the pain that a brother feels when he has lost his family.
Because you have succeeded, I live in the corner once again. They
looked for me when my parents never woke up. They look for me again
because they hate my business. They look for me as rats look for the
cheese. So I hide and watch as my family, the ninja guild, rats me out
for money. They bring their newly acquired Justice friends and their
accompanying special guards. And all the while I pray for freedom from
the womb of life where I am a captive, enslaved to my own emotions.
Failed by my second family and betrayed, I refuse to bear the pain this
time. You broke my heart again. I am taking my own life and breaking
free. Maybe someday my broken soul will return to deal my revenge. My
only witness is my shadow, which will help me grip the blade.

I returned to Thera not long ago intact as most of you know. While I was
absent Thera changed in ways, many of Thera's old ways had changed and most
of all many of the people I had once known are now dead and gone. This is
just one of the ways of the world but still I find that many people do not
give the dead the respect they owe. Hero's beyond comprehension walked the
Theran soil not long ago. For the sake of the dead I will being giving a
little information on a certain Theran every time this great parchment is
delivered.

The Theran on which I speak about this issue is not dead but I feel that she
has been forgotten none the less. The Theran I speak of is now known as
Endeniss the disappointment of the law. She is as old as I am.

Her life has been full of trials and triumphs. She was once a mighty
justice, in my opinion she was one of the greatest to walk the streets of
Seringale. She entered the halls a Healer knowing well that her profession
would interfere with her duties. What made her such a magnificent justice
is that she held her position over her religion. Many times her criminals
shared her religion and she was punished by the gods for it. Still she
continued her good work. At her peak she was in line for leadership of the
Justice until she was unjustly removed from the halls. While on a mission
to destroy an undead menace that plagued the Theran people she confronted
him on the blighted streets of Darkhaven. Against her own good conscience
she attacked him on the streets. At this time the Undead were still
protected by the law. She was seen by the gods and brought before them on
trial.

All of her deeds had gone unnoticed and they banned her from the halls making
her an outlaw. All of this for one infraction. This would shatter the common
person but still she went on, an outcast of the law and her own guild. She was
hunted endlessly but still she lives today. She still walks the realms now and
then to make sure that Thera is still in one piece. The chaos which she once
fought so diligently was her downfall. Forget her name and you forget one of
the great injustices that have taken place throughout Theran history. Never
forget the past for the is it is forgotten the past is doomed to repeat itself.

Obituaries

Obituaries.

Zebesa, Volitia, Sadlbro, Yavencal, I read and reread my list.
Instead of pulling one phrase or the other claiming their valor or
stupidity I kick back and reminisce... I go back to the first obituary I
ever did. Meticulous work on Tozzen's and Seryie's final hours. The last
goodbye to ferocious Dreadlord Nyevon. Back to present I go. What the
Hell am I doing? Who are this people?! What did they do to deserve to be
remembered? Oh, they messed up one thing or another. Got booted out of
cabals, lost their paths, angered heavens. This section in it's making
was meant to pay final respect to the prominent faces of Thera, those
that walked this realm and made it their own. Now I write goodbyes to
failures and losers. I taint a rare decent soul by putting it next to
Creator's mistakes such as Kothar or Ordath. Well no more! This bloody
satirical section is ABOLISHED. Obituaries were meant as a special honor
to those deserving and as such they are reinstituted from now on. If a true
hero or villain shall perish I shall wield my quill and the deaths of
the unremarkables will be rewarded with one line too many, hence:
Zebesa, Volitia, Sadlbro and Yavencal are gone. Good riddance to them.
