        Alright so we can CLEARLY SEE HE IS. so that means something is up with unholy strength multiplier doing extremely crazy damage. Cause obviously I can manage at this level even when kryton is hitting me with pierce vuln I didn't get hit as hard as militha did. I'm just telling you guys what I see and what's going on. I can only go off my experiences. Better than giving some half cocked advice to disarm hybrids wearing 2 handed weapons.
      2. Not sure what Khadiira's damroll was, but we see her land four attacks for DISEMBOWELS, MUTILATES, and 2 devastates. That seems pretty reasonable, if not tame for a damage type vuln. Certainly nothing a paladin can't outheal. Militha's damage in the other log seems to me like its working as intended. Paladins get a ton of tools to outheal DKs, cure maledictions, word out, etc. The major tool the DK has is offense. The unholy strength she used could have been max amplification, which has a huge mana upkeep but tradeoff is insane damage.
      3. For the record, I only cast unholy strength once in between the part of my log where Paeix recalled and when I summoned/murdered him. We're talking a +2/+2 buff here (though it also gives a damage multiplier of unknown strength, which is even stronger against Paeix because he's a paladin).

      8. Wait, so you have one of the highest avg dam SILVER polearms in the game and pitted it against a drow and its not a drow issue? I'm pretty sure that was just a terrible setup for me. I quaffed purple at the wrong time. My strangle didn't land. My hitroll wasn't high enough. I forgot I couldn't hide with two-handed weapons. I didn't get far enough away because I thought I could rely on the shadows.

        Don't get a puffed up chest because you think you're hot shit. I just fucked up the execution because I didn't lean on the strengths of the shadow playstyle. You capitalized on a mistake I won't make again.
      9. I think I'm hot shit cause I'm battling for #1 spot. My fights at this point are with militha and kryton cause at least they stand toe to toe. I may swing around to dunk someone every once and awhile when I get bored but I'm gonna chill on that for a bit hopefully some of you can progress so I can have some fun. BTW I see all the drow warriors. Y'all gonna get checked as soon as I can
      10. As an addendum to my most recent post (which was meant as a reply to Paeix on this part of the thread). Paladins are super OP. As you can see in the log, Wrath fucked me up good. What really gets me, though, is the fact that I have a damroll of 45 and am wielding Khizarizia, the Spear of Destruction. Just to throw that out there. Try fighting a neutral warrior that is similarly geared while wielding your vuln and see how that goes.

        It isn't a fight that favors the paladin.
      11. I think might be good to try changing up vulns a little bit actually. Like brewing weak potions or creating rings of frost/fire/water resistance, or even just dropping a berserker totem down. we did a bit of that with barkskin and I think its an interesting aspect of the game. then, instead of jotun being vuln pierce it could be vuln to pierce from adamantium weapons. raknos could be weak to holy/fire damage only from silver weapons. we could think of more specific things based on our lore, e.g. maybe alhoon is straight up immune to metal weapons, so still vuln slash but lots of weapons are iron so generally its pretty crap. also, instead of having vulns override resists we simply multiply them together. that way you could dampen them a little bit, costing yourself some significant damroll though. and that could cancel out weak vulns completely.

        and as for the elven races, I think we gave those material vulns a good try, for good reasons. and some classes can absorb those, but nobody should be dieing in two rounds to a paladin like this

    3. Let's review the facts, then.

      #1: You're a hybrid fighter with sanctuary and protection, geared to the teeth wielding the highest avg dam SILVER TWO-HANDED weapon in the game against a
      Drider (Drow) shadow that just hit level 50.
      #2: Kryton is a geared warrior who has been level 50 for a while, so it's no surprise he "stands toe-to-toe".
      #3: Militha is a geared level 50 who has been around for a while. She is a hybrid fighter with the protection spell and summon for a surplus of potions. No surprise she is doing well, either.
      #4: Im not sure how Gzarza is geared, but that character is a level 50 shaman, again, with the protection spell and they are a cleric so there is no surprise they are lasting in combat.

      You dunked ONE Drow who fucked up all of their chances for advantage against a fighter that is 1) designed to fight evils and 2) simply better geared in every single way.

      2. Paladins aren't super OP. You just don't know how to fight them. I killed Temy (an eradicator) twice without breaking a sweat.

        Also, sufficient adrenaline prevents hiding so you likely would've been run down even if you'd been wielding the right weapon(s). I'm pretty sure strangle gives aggressive adrenaline if you fail?
      3. Was Temy incredibly well geared and armed with the highest avg dam vuln weapon for Drow in the game?

        Also, I'm not griping about Paladins. I have no issue with them. I also agree that they aren't SUPER OP, that may have been AK exaggeration, but we can still agree that they ARE OP. I think as a dk you'll find that fighting good aligned characters is easier because of your protection spell in addition to your unholy strength. Don't tell a person that doesn't have legs that it's easy to climb three flights of stairs
      4. My point with the second paragraph comes along with the second sentence in the first one. Paeix is a fucking speed demon, if you had wasted time trying to hide while you had adrenaline he would've caught up with you and executed you anyway. Fighting an enemy is twofold: know your enemy, know yourself. And you don't act like you know yourself (though the point is academic since you've deleted).
