Death and silence
The tale of Shiao is one of darkness and death, though much of this as a result of his own doings. Born to rich nobility in the Drow City, Shiao was often spoiled as a child, constant servants to come at every call. In the eyes of his parents he could do no wrong. True cruelty is seen in the hand of an innocent child with no boundaries and much power. At a young age, Shiao allowed free reign. He loved to torture anyone or anything he could get his hands on. With his vast wealth his cruelty only grew and grew, starting with animals then leading to humans and illithids. He loved to torture the beggars in the street . A favorite past time became simply testing the resilience of his captured beggars. Usually, their resilience was quite pathetic, and the beggars would die after only a few fingers and other extremities were severed, writhing in pain while screaming in agony. These beggars would beg for death to come, this only fueled the rage and sinister motives for Shiao. The ones who stared at Shiao in the eyes impressed the drow, their death was quick and painless as they had his respect. No one may survive.

Description:

The man standing before you is a thin drow. His face is extremely flat, flat as the calm sea. His eyes are quite narrow and forever focused. He stands at almost six feet in height with dark maroon skin. His features are flawless, his eyes are a deep green which is unusual for his kind. His hair is jet black, shoulder length and flows in the wind. There is a sinister grin on his face, revealing perfect teeth, all white in color. His high cheekbones are framed by his square jaw. Some stubble is present on his skin with minor bumps about his face. The lower left part of his chin has a small scar, somewhat resembling a sickle. His ears are very round and thin lips are pursed tightly.

Shadows are pretty interesting but probably more complex than I would be comfortable playing. It was a real chore to master skills because of Ki being used so much. Also trying to kill anything was a pain and took forever.

massive fail, you could have pressured a cabal into demoting or firing a justice and instead you deleted

what a massive letdown and a huge disappointment. Way to turn a character from awesome to complete garbage instantly

That's a bit rough, we are all susceptible to getting angry to the point of rage quit. I now log off and wait before I delete anyone as a general rule.

I will avoid your cabal from now own. My reasons to delete really are my own. It was extremely difficult to get anything done as a shadow, its really frustrating not being able to really kill anything for equipment and as I said I didn't really have a good handle on the class to be effective in pk.

That being said, when people just quit out on you thats not fun. When your play time is limited and you are sacrificing sleep to play this game because thats the only time you have available thats not fun.

You want to put the weight of this game on my character for some rp opportunity that really I didn't care for. My character wasn't awesome I caught two people afk and killed them. Sheng kicked my ass and did something stupid to get himself killed.

The last events that led to my deletion. Went to get the dagger of chaos, died stupidly trying to get that dagger twice. So I deleted because the time and effort required to me wasn't worth it.

But don't worry Nyc I won't make the same mistake and join your cabal again.

Shadows have always been ambush fighters, so fighting someone who can see you hiding is not good.

Did you ever deploy the decoy? I love the decoy but only goated one person to hit it. Now days with everyone setting triggers to attack, I would think decoys could be awesome.

It has been a long time since I played a shadow, what made them too complex?

Oh wow, Shadows have twice as many skills from the last time I played one, so what was you go to skills?

What I found annoying is that Monks can get eq easily without really having to worry about anything. Which is why my last few characters have either been really simple characters to play like thief or ranger or illusionist because the eq they need they can acquire solo and rather easily.

What I didn't like is art of condor has a huge lag and people can see when you arrive which really kills the stealth aspect so its hard to surprise anyone. I suck at tracking and chasing so thats always an issue.

I just spent a shit ton of time waiting for people to log on and rank, I couldn't kill anything solo to rank that was worthwhile.

Seeing a monk clear winter by himself just sucks lol while it takes me an hour just to kill mordun. Some people enjoy complexity and for me I don't like to think much in this game.

my go to plan which I really didn't get a chance to try because when someone was in my pk range would generally just quit out or i screwed up. But what I wanted to do is strangle and assassinate for the poison legacy and pray the ruby dagger would plague and curse them and just side step. Didn't really get a chance to try it cuz I either failed strangle or they just ran off

I fully understand the equipment frustration.

I wore down a mob for a real life hour, he died and respawned, and I still needed the item. Round two of wearing him down, a monk came along and quickly helped gain the item. I was thankful but yea a little frustrated.

I believe the balance for monks being able to gain items is that they are limited on what they can wear.

Sounds like you guys kind of beat your head into a wall repeatedly when it comes to getting EQ from a high level mob. That’s something I’ve never done. Always despised EQ and kept with the basics of EQ. If I did get rares it would be from looting. Never found getting EQ in a solo fashion to be fun or easy or worth my time. In my spare time I’d grind gold and gamble it away to get EQ. Also just ran around with chaos-bound weapons....which I understand there has been a change to. I’d play again if I could log in and rank solo without jumping through hoops.
