Nobody's saying that you've got to send a tell, note, third-party messenger or otherwise, but if you haven't ever had any prior interaction with someone (they attacked your group, you saw them murder a friend, whatever) then be prepared to un-paint yourself out of a corner.
AR's firstly a PK mud, but especially with the large influx of new players we've had recently, we've at least gotta keep the lower-rank stuff somewhat regulated so they actually stick around. Unless you guys all want it back to 5-8 characters on at any given time, and you know 75% of the players behind them... not as fun IMHO.
