Background
The ayr travelled to the realms from a distant universe, a realm governed by an ancient Immortal
named Lodur, the one most likely to be their creator. They arrivied in Serin upon an unusually advanced
ship that crash landed inside the jagar desert. These beings are comprised of two distinct races that have
combined themselves into a higher lifeform. A luminescent wisp has merged with a machine-like exoskeleton
to create something that is much more than just a machine. The ayr's exoskeleton is small in stature,
being similar in size to a gnome, but built to be strong and very durable. Exclusively lawful good alignment,
the mission of the ayr is simply to protect life, and it is a purpose they each undertake with
quiet and dutiful solemnity.
Unlike the other races of Serin with endless potential to procreate, the destruction of the mothership has rendered
the factory of the ayr incapable of any future creation. Thus, there is only a limited number of them.
Once that is expended, the ayr may never walk the lands again, ceasing to exist entirely. The ayr
are very much an endangered species.
For your ayr, it is advised to ensure that your ayr's description has
visible gears and rounded edges and plating that portray a sense of being hand-crafted. Rather
than just looking like a soulless mass-produced robot, try to invoke a sense of wonder, such
as a pressurized armor that may be suited for diving to the depths of the deepest oceans.
Note well that any loss of any ayr is permanent - they get one life, no resurrections, and each
lost ayr will reduce the remaining number of ayr that may be played. So for example, if there are
100 ayr available to play, that means that when a player creates one, there are now only 99 to
play. Then that player has only one "life" as well. This is a harsh reality that you must make sure you understand before
you begin. There will be other players who relish your destruction and indeed wish to hasten the extinction
of the ayr.
Roleplaying with other races
The ayr are fearless and without ego. They view their robotic form as an instrument that
must be optimized to execute their mission. They are logical and polite, and their morality
is based on an awareness that they were created for their purpose. The ayr are always
thoughtful of their purpose for the protection of life, and empathy is a skill always
grasped very strongly by their kind. Ayr epitomize lawful good.
Available classes for the ayr are: warrior, healer, paladin, psionicist

Tips
- Take care of your ayr, you only have one life, and it is up to you to make the most of it. This is not recommended if you are new to the game.
- Ayr have several solid defensive abilities that greatly increase their survivability. Combine them together.
