    I guess my first mistake is to think I'm learning and getting better. It's obviously not the case.

    In honesty, I should have won both fights. That's what I feel. But, I didn't. I'm not sure why. I didn't keep enough superiority the first time and the second time I had purples in my cloak, but I was blind so I couldn't get to them. Frankly, the dirt lasted a LOT longer than I expected. And, I didn't berserk to gain health. All mistakes.

    But I shouldn't have made those mistakes at all. Frankly, this is just stupid the way we both lost.

    I shouldn't waste mine or anyone's time anymore.

    First of all, I wanted to fight alone. Amirlith asked me to help Taris, and I told him no. Then he told me I had to, to "cleanse him" right? Lightwalker rp is rather hackneyed, I admit. So, after I tried the first time to go solo, and in my opinion did better solo, I helped taris. I wasn't even fully rested, just grabbed purples and ran there.

    1) No sanctuary was granted to Daesu
    2) No curing
    3) No coordinated attacking, both of you have rescue. Use it.
    4) Also, use protection.

    1) I had previously used many sancs in the first fight. I had 4 or 5 in inventory, and a few in cloak. Granted, should have had all in inventory, but I'm reserved like that and keep some in cloak so maybe, just maybe, they're not all looted when I die.

    2) I should have berserked. But I had failed a few times in the last fight and wasn't going to rely on that. I was too worried about fleeing until dirt wore off to switch weapons, which never happend. I was dirted for 20-30 seconds, which was a lot longer than usual and longer than I expected.

    3) We weren't grouped together.

    4) I had one magenta for the first fight, and would have had more but again, a knight, Amirlith, told me to go help. I really, really, really wish at this point I wasn't a squire. I'm tired of fucking taking orders from douchebags that don't know shit.

    5) If you think you can do better, I'll fucking give my character to you. You let me know.

    In fact, there is more ganging going on than is really necessary. Not saying it isn't an integral part of PK on AR but...

    Knights is suffering because the level of expertise isn't there. No one is really enforcing their code, and the interview process has gone to shit. I remember the only time it was easy to get into Knights was when the character concerned had had 6mths of pwning evils and Dolgan and Meriando just inducted me staright away. The other time was fucking hard. Runath interviewed to become his squire, and it lasted well into an hour. Recently, I was squired and it took less than a minute. Fucking ridiculous. I know exactly who Runath was, so I don't expect any different from him in particular...but fuckin hell guys come on. Less than a minute to be squired...fucking joke.

I make some howlers occasionally, and end up slamming my forehead into the keyboard in frustration at my own ineptitude. However, occasionally there are moments you'll pull off something spectacular, times when you you're facing better opponents and in some weird epiphanic moment, you know how to beat them.

    Look at your own duel against Sporky and Legilan. Two people, higher rank, you nearly killed them both. You don't suck, mate. I've fought you, and you're by no means bad.

    What gets me more now is that I've contributed to the declining reputation of this cabal. It's general consensus that Knights is the noob cabal, haha, that's why I wanted to join it actually.

    But at this point, Clifton and that "Someone" are right. It's just not doing well at all, and I'm not helping that. I'm actually further proving them right!

    What I would suggest Daesu, is not taking a hiatus. Who gives a fuck if KNights blow or not? I know I dont. Step it up, try harder, and learn shit. The best place to learn is between rank 35-50. Take this char, and be a noob with him. Rather than being a noob with two chars. Dont give up, just start tryin to pk the shit out of everyone, and eventualy you will have stuff down.

    The biggest two bits of advice I can give you are...

    Dont worry about equipment/purps. They are there to be USED. Im not saying that rares are useless, they certainly help. But they are there to help you, use them. And purps...well thats the next bit of advice.

    Be prepared, and be ready to use your preperations. stock the shit out of yourself. Have 3 magentas, and a solid 10 purps, and save equipment. You run out of sanc, quaf another purp. DOnt think 'Fuck, im gonna need to get more purps after this, Im gonna conserve.' Have your potions, and use the shit out of them. Dont waste them, but dont be afraid to burn right through them.

    I agree with Mullet on this one. Do not be afraid of using your stock items. Chances are very high in that situation that you are going to lose your stock stuff anyways if you die. I always assume that if I die my corpse will fully looted. Live and learn, who gives a flying shit if you die over and over. Equipment, supplies, and lives are all expendable.

    True, they are. I suppose I could always work on those re-equiping skills to get faster at it. Still laborious for me, especially when I forget what I had..

    And, I ought to appologize for freaking out. Donno if it was just the fact it was 2am and I was tired, or a bipolar moment or what.

    But, I should have just picked up and cooled out.

    I'll stick with it, even if I keep losing. I really do appreciate the advice from everyone. But, especially mullet.

    I haven't been around nearly as long as most of you, but long enough to know mullet's got a bad rep. My interactions with your characters have all been good so far, tho. Granted, Asskickings, but fair and cordial, and a lot of the times you're helpful and instructive.

    Daesu, don't get discarouged, I used to get discarouged alot, and probably still do alittle too much, but I have to say I have played this mud about two years now, and I normally learn how to do things and get good at things really fast, but for some dang reason, I still suck at this game, I can rp pretty well, but I am a horrible pker and it pisses me off. Stick with it, thats what I am trying to do, and hopefully by doing that, by the end of it, both of us will be alittle better.

    And for the Knights sucking or whatever, I am not sure about that but most of us, footman, atleast I tihnk, are pretty noobish, which makes it hard for it to be a good group, and it might seems like all of the fights that have been logged have been gangbangs, but if your really thing about it, when someone is fighting someone and Taris is on their side, I personally don't count it as a gangbang, because Taris does not help at all, not because he sucks or anything, but because he is really bad at groupwarfare or something

    Clifton, I think your right, if we are going to fight in numbers, we might as well work together, but again, Taris is horrid at working together, he will not heal anyone and he will not stick together, when fighting a group the first thing you try to do is split them up, and Taris does that for them.


    And in every fight we have had a serious rank disadvantage, atleast the ones I am in, and even gangbang style we are still severly outnumbered in skill.....

    Uh, Taris was Knighted because of my screw-up. In the APPLICANT thing, when one of the imms approves them, it says that any senior can induct on sight. I did, even though he'd been a squire for only a few days.
