Once upon a time, there was a deaf mouse named Cheese. This was rather
unfortunate, since not only were there CATS after him, but the blind mice
who lived in the hole nearby also considered him fair game for midnight
nibbles. However, he had no idea his name was Cheese, since he was deaf.
Therefore, instead of hiding as he ought to be, he spent most of his time
sauntering around the village square, showing off his prized jaunty peapod
hat.
One day came around, when Cheese was hopping around the village in utter
happiness with this hat, till a cat slipped in unnoticed. It snatched up
Cheese's hat and laughed at him mercilessly. Of course, Cheese did not
hear this, being deaf and all, but could easily see it with the look upon
the cat's face. Angry with this, Cheese spent out the rest of the day plotting
to get revenge, as well as his hat back.
Deaf mouse go back hole, was ver mad, but also ver sad at lose hat. Thems
blind mices hear hims cry, and even though theys like nibble on deaf mouse, is
still mices, and go see why cry. Deaf mouse write note, try tell bout mean
cat, but thems mices not able see, so not know what wrong. Deaf mouse go
sleep, then gets idea.

tavern, is drunk. Super gnome always drunk. Deaf mouse puts structions in
super gnome pocket, and writes on bottom 'is bestest food in world.'
The gnome stumbled home, but not without having a run-in with Leroy. The
citizens of Seringale at the sight of this had no choice but to laugh. Such a
ludicrous sight: A drunken gnome and Leroy, engaged in a fight. Nothing short
of a bar brawl between a cockroach and a tea pot would be stranger. The
gnome managed to get home, where his wife cleaned his pockets in search of
traces of spousal infidelity. Nothing was to be found except for a piece of
parchment, about the size of a small moth inscribed with tiny black lines. If
one didn't know better, this might pass for a scroll written by a mouse.
However, she thought it must be a bit of lint or a label of some bottle of
moonlight her alcoholic husband had smuggled away to imbue in secret, so
she tossed it, and spent the rest of the night nagging and scolding his ear off.
The paper was stepped on by the poor drunk in his haste to get away, and
stuck firmly to the sticky stain on the bottom of his boot.
That night, miserably stuck in the outhouse, the drunk pulled off his boot to
get a good night's sleep and caught his eye on the note. With that, he grasped
[Hit Return to continue]it up and attempted to read it. Being as drunk as he was
, he couldn't make out
the ingrediants correctly and started gathering twenty two herbs instead of two
and eleven rabbit's feet instead of just one. But he was still quite ambitious,
seeing as how stew is his favorite. He set out to find the main ingredient...
That was, of course, a cat whom should have a peapod hat. But with all the extra
herbs and feet and other items, the gnome might need a few more meatier things t
o
throw in.
So he ran around and caught a pile of hapless mice he saw sitting around,
who didn't even see that he was coming, put them in the stewpot, and
clapped the lid on. "Dinner is served," he proclaimed. Just then, he heard a
scratching at the door.
So he stumbled to the door, and opened it, much in the way drunk people
open everything: by slamming head-on into it.

The drunkard stumbled to get on his knees and elbows.

The gnome lifted up his head.
-Miau.
The gnome looked at the cat: "Azrael, is that you?" and as he said that, he [Hit

And with this, and realizing he was quite hungry, he picked the cat up from
the floor, still bits and pieces stranded in its fur, and - you have to realize

was a big stewpot - threw it in the pot, with the mice, and the herbs and the
rabbit's feet.
After that, dinner really WAS served. And it was quite delicious.
