siat Any Advice would be appreciated. -

The hobbles absolutely raped you.

The dagger must have been exotic for the uncannies, so I'm assuming you had weapon type advantage.

The helpfile says counterbalanced rogues can dodge non-dualwielded hobbles. But, he landed them all...

Maybe focus on style superiority next time? See how that goes?

Well, you're not playing to your advantage.

No blackjack, steal/pry/etc.. that's not very viable thief nowadays anyway. (Blackjack with adrenaline doens't do shit).
No dual backstab vs unsanc'd rapage -- that skill is so ridiculously powerful for a reason.
No dirt kick, so your disarms with uncanny weren't doing you any good.

Looking back, you were actually better off when he was wielding, it didn't hit your vuln.

I was sanced for most of the fight.

I wore the exotic weapon because I wanted to have advantages, and I didn't dirt kick because I didn't think it would land, and it would just lag me. (Being a rogue outside of town). It would have been better to just wait him out instead of disarming him with the uncanny, then?

I'd try to anticipate his weapon changes if your worrying about weapon advantage. However for rogues id worry more about weapon style like siat said. Hobble screws rogues over royally and if he isn't hobbling you he'll probably be using overhead and if you can switch to counterbalance right before you use overhead you can royally screw him over, a couple of free rounds unmolested by his actions would do you good. If your worried about wasting time on dirts, make him worry about wasting time on his hobbles and overheads.
