after these assassination logs, I think its finally time this happened. basically Im disrupting their ranking during surge, so they decide to come after me instead. bad idea right now. lets say Grelic decides to come after me afterward and nearly dies himself.

You yell 'Help! someone tried to assassinate me!'
Zau fades into existence.

You resist the venom of Zau's poison mastery.
Zau is in excellent condition.

Walkway of Magic
This is the Walkway of Magic, so called because of the magical shops
that lie on it. Glowing balls of light hang suspended outside the
entrances of two shops, burning steadily night and day without flicker.
To the west is a stone building with many vials and bottles in the window,
and a sign hanging above the door with a large group of bottles on it. To
the east is a shop with a rod painted on the sign. The road leads south to
a large archway, or continues to the north.

A member of the Timaran city day watch keeps an eye out.

City Alchemists
This shop is filled large wooden shelves, upon which are many different
bottles and vials of varying shapes and sizes. Red ones, blue ones, green
ones amongst others sit here awaiting a customer. The carpet covering the
floor is grey in color, and feels soft and comfortable to walk on. Muted
bangs and curses float from a back room, doubtless where the alchemist is
mixing new concoctions. Balls of light illuminate the room brightly
without fail. You can leave the store to the east.

A large sign hangs on the back door. It looks pretty important.

  1. Laban Oni Ug -
Zau, never fight without sanc up, as it appears it wasn't there. I've made that mistake myself. Secondly, you don't need the assassination when there are two of them. Strategy I would have gone with, with two there? Strangle the paladin, or if it fails run away for a bit. If it lands, and the paladin is strangled... then attack the invoker. Dual wielding you would beat him down. Having a paladin wrathing, and an invoker helling you.. is going to eat you alive.. whether you have sanc or not.. and whether you have afflctive saves or not. Your hp is too low to hang with that sort of strategy. I must say though, I love seeing the assassination logs, just don't rely on it too much. Fun to watch you kill people though Zau, it makes me think of how much I am missing not being able to get on much currently. Damn job/school/relationship. Anyway, just a few tips from what I saw on this side of the log.
  2. blarg short and sweet -
I'd start every fight with assassinate as a drow ninja unless they're a class who has counter and squating in a room you cant hide in. As for the two on one...a good blindness dust can disable one or both of them from re-initiating for a while. If anything goes wrong at the beginning of the fight (or after) just run away until you're healed and have calm adrenaline, then come back. That being said, no sanc = death.
  3. slade short and sweet -
I wonder if they redid assassinate. For one, this guy has landed like at least three of them, where I never landed a single one on my 50. Two, some piddly invoker with probably not many mal saves just resisted his poison mastery! Yeouch. I don't remember that happening too often.
  4. Horec short and sweet -
    I had -35-45 mal..
  5. Kavere short and sweet -
I don't know if assassinate has been changed, but Zau uses it like it is his only skill. I do not give him a chance to land it on me, if I see him in the area I attack first. I would like to see Zau use some of his mals, like smoke and dust.
  6. retard short and sweet -
Hmm.. people posted Voravith assassinates... I don't think its ever been "not working" at 50. Zau is also a decent rank and like Kavere said, uses it a lot.
  7. Cythlan short and sweet -
Well the best course of action there in my opinion would've been to go for the 1 hit kill just for the hell of it, if it succeeded good, fight the other person and loot what you want in the mean time, if it failed run off and try to get them to separate.

It'd be a good way for a quick hit and run, you want to try to keep their attention at least and harass them enough so they'll separate to find you.
  8. E-ant short and sweet -
Assassinate works at 50 with max luck often enough.

Anyone feel lioke explaining what else luck helps out on?
  10. Laban Oni Luck -
I do NOT know the current code on luck. Let me first of all state that. If it is the same as it used to be, luck would give a bit of a bonus to just about anything. Litterally, making you better all around, landing blows.. landing spells, landing assassinate. Some races, were luckier than others... kind of a cheezy thing but it was fun to abuse. Also, luck was constantly in flux, but gravitating toward a medium over time. Hense, wear luck gear when you're in a fight, or some postulated it to be useful before gaining a rank. If I said to much about luck, feel free to delete my post here mods. If luck is different now, feel free to ignore my post. Either way, I hope it was slightly informative without being too much so.

    Sorry, lucks been recoded. :.(
