xel morak, scarab rings, garde armor, and more high level rares similar to scarabs (cant remember what they were atm), and I highly doubt this stone giant is a newbie. not only this, but he was attacking me when I was fighting sanary, 42 vs 50 mind you, and still the giant asks if I need help, then proceeds to attack me alongside sanary. needless to say that was enough damage to put my attrition rhythm in the toilet and I had to flee.

giant is rank 41 btw. tried to be cheap because I was fighting someone 6 ranks above me, and got cheap killed himself. good riddance.

yes, he got hosed by dirt. dirted on initiate by a rogue = long duration, fleeing while dirted for a low dex like a giant = fall over and still get raped by a very similar tactic to flee;murder, which is the person hobbled or dirted flees and gets lagged, and the other person comes in and gets a free murder in. you can see that once the dirt hit, there was no good option.

eh, I doubt anyone isnt going to panic after getting worked unsanced by a rogue dirt/clobber. I still think the thief did a damn good job killing the way a thief should, unsanced opponent cant see you, keep them in combat unsanced, wail on them with advantages. thats how you kill with a rogue, get someone with their pants down.

ithieves use guerilla warfare to kill, a straight up battle against a stone giant would have killed dryzstan easily, but the fact that he was stalked, watched his opponent and took action when he least expected was a very good tactic.
