Dryzlin quits

I invade Dryzlin's cabal. Wait... leave for a moment, return and hear...

Dryzlin tells you 'I'm coming.'

I wait around for 5 or so minutes, re-enter.

Dryzlin tells you 'I'M COMING.'

An illithid illusionist shows up to defend the legion cabal. Weird. So I go to engage

Long story short,

You stab at Krexissirith with an arrow at point blank range.
Your slice MANGLES Krexissirith!
Krexissirith is DEAD!!

Back to the Legion cabal...

Dryzlin tells you 'I'm COMING, CALM DOWN.'

Wait a couple more minutes...

Dryzlin tells you 'Not coming.'
Dryzlin tells you 'Traggio.'

Then quits out.

Groq knows how to pick em.

    It's called....

    Survival.

There were two paladins, two healers, a knight, and you.
Besides, you didn't invade, just walked on the first step then walked out.

That is weird about Krexissirith, though....
  2. cateroth Dryzlin quits -
its not wierd, just stupid. He probably wants to be the next Tezcoatzil
  3. traggio Dryzlin quits -
an excerpt from the Cabal helpfile:
'Members must return to the shrine to defend it when it is attacked.'
  4. Clifton Dryzlin quits -
Yeah.. you don't get to dodge.
  5. slade Dryzlin quits -
Walking a step in the path/temple and then walking out isn't invading, if that is the case.
  6. Vertas Dryzlin quits -
Maybe I'm misunderstanding it but you have to protect your path too, which is why henchmen could attack on it...Or maybe I'm completely wrong.
  7. Kickemgood Dryzlin quits -
i doubt he quit, my guess is he was kicked out of legion =D
  8. deathnote Dryzlin quits -
Lol. From what I know of cabal, I believe the path is part of the cabal. You have to defend that too. I remember a log where Rigwarl quit when someone entered the war galley. He was slain by the immortal for it, so I believe the path has to be defended. Am I wrong?
  9. pip Dryzlin quits -
that was when rigwarl was forsaken so he should have been slain for being a pussy, but under any other normal circumstances it is a sign of aggression but at the same time it's not the same thing as actually attacking the guardian.
  10. Esura Dryzlin quits -
Groq said you don't have to defend the path, just the cabal.
  11. deathnote Dryzlin quits -
then why did Rigwarl get killed for it? Other than the fact he was a "pussy" as pip claims....
  12. Kessor Dryzlin quits -
No idea, but Groq told us the same and evidently the Knights have the same rule. *shrug*

    Oh well.

Dryzlin isn't Legion any more, though. That otta help calm some of ya down....

And no idea about Rigwarl. I remember that too, but don't remember the whole deal except for he was pissed and that after I asked a question about an item, he damn near killed me (I was in Legion...)
  13. pip Dryzlin quits -
Rigwarl was the leader of a cabal and shouldn't back down from any fight so when he quits out on a potential cabal raid, his "role model" position looks like shit and that tends to piss off the immortal because you don't want the lower ranked legion doing the same.

It was only a problem because Worvaz was on the path when he quit, not walked in and back out then Rigwarl quit. Get it?
  14. erlwith Dryzlin quits -
The ranger was on the path when Dryzlin quit out.
  15. Vertas Dryzlin quits -
Ok rigwarl got killed for it because he was anathema/wanted...Imms don't want caballed characters leaving when they have other obligations to do battle or something like that...I dunno cythlan got in trouble for the same thing, logged in, saw three justice on waited til i could quit then could. Next time i log in im in your in trouble now room. Imm was actually pretty cool about it, said that he didn't want to have to but since the actions i did would have resulted in my death id be slain have my items taken and the flag placed on me again...Sucked. Still not sure I understand that...
  16. kalist Dryzlin quits -
You guys are all idiots. I had already told the other legions I was departing. Said all the 'farewell' shit and already had quit in my command thing. Just had to hit enter. Had to leave due to real life concerns. I knew he was in the grounds but personally did not see grounds outside the same as someone intruding on the cabal, so I quit (WHICH I WAS GOING TO DO BEFORE HE ENTERED) and got on with my day. Note that this was BEFORE it was made official that the stones outside your cabal have to be defended just as if a HGOD was at your cabal guardian.
  17. kalist Dryzlin quits -
"but under any other normal circumstances it is a sign of aggression but at the same time it's not the same thing as actually attacking the guardian."

The imm slayed me because he said that "walking on path = invading cabal" which I argued against fervently. Arguing with Imms never gets you anywhere. It's not a democracy people.
  18. slade Dryzlin quits -
I will always fight anyone in either place because I'm not a pussy that feeds off newbs and multikill pads their record, will fight anyone, etc. However, if I was just path stepping to draw someone out or vice versa, I would understand if no one came because frankly they aren't obligated to. The path is not the cabal and if the person wants to bring it to the next level they can simply at least touch the guardian once.

They can cabal step, that is to say, walk into the guardian, then run outside. While that is not much different than path stepping, it absolutely crosses the line and the other person must run the other person off even if they have quickly left and are just hanging around.

Lesson: Actually enter, even if only for a moment.
  19. Mandor Dryzlin quits -
surprised he wasnt denied ots for being OOC in conjunction with abandoning his cabal

Totally agree with that but the Imm said that path = cabal grounds and that someone on the path should be treated as if they were at the guardian.
  21. deathnote Dryzlin quits -
I always thought the path was part of the cabal grounds. I would fight them whether it's on the path or inside the grounds personally.

But assuming it's not and you dont have to defend it. 'They can cabal step, that is to say, walk into the guardian, then run outside. '

It works for most classes. What if you're a ranger? You bring your pets and you flee, you spend the next 10 tries trying to get your pets together out of the cabal. If you path sit, he doesn't defend. If you invade inside, you have a hard time with your pets.

If you invade without pets, run out get your pets and enter the path and sit there, they aren't oblidged to defend? Then they can just quit if they want to even though you're on the path?
  22. erlwith Dryzlin quits -
I think there's a reason cabal guardians inform you when someone steps on your cabal path. The only path that shouldn't need to be defended if stepped on is Justice.

  23. slade Dryzlin quits -
On the downsides of touching the guardian, like ranger pets, that is part of why cabal stepping officially hits that next level.

If you're forcing the other guy to come to you and he has nothing he can do, chances are you're higher levelled or just better geared or just better skilled, whatever the case you're choosing to press the fight. If you go that far the least you can do it just touch the guardian once to really bind them into obligation to come. There are some nice things about that not only losing your pets, but losing hp flee'ing in and out, and carrying and swapping saves gear even if for just a minute so you don't get cursed and dispelled. That minor damage/annoyance you just took is a nice tradeoff to force them to come.

On the flipside again if you're like a Rigwarl you're supposed to just go and you certainly don't need the other guy trading off that health to make you go, you just go or even better find the other guy before he can even sit on your path.
  24. Clifton Dryzlin quits -
Wow... any more character leaking on the board by people that don't play the character will result in ip ban.

Cateroth, you aren't established enough to talk so much shit.

Percie's statement may or may not be true.
  25. cateroth Dryzlin quits -
i only talk shit at people im better than in game.

besides, pip leaked it on invokation, and so did kessor. Im not leaking anything new, Im just restating the facts.
  26. Clifton Dryzlin quits -
Keep shit talking in game... if you have a problem, just kill the arena guardian.

And, it doesn't matter if they did it. It's their chars.
  27. retard Dryzlin quits -
Anything that exposes pip as the big pussy he really is, is fine in my book
  28. cateroth Dryzlin quits -
i dont actually mean i talk shit in game. i mean i talk shit at people like mandor and retard who who im better than.

    please clarify
im not allowed to repeat what they say?
  29. Clifton Dryzlin quits -
Yup... you can't repeat other people's characters. Like, me saying Esura's Knight sucks is bad. But Esura saying her Knight sucks is okay.

Different rules for forums though, since I don't control those. Imms do, so they can do more.

"surprised he wasnt denied ots for being OOC in conjunction with abandoning his cabal"

    OOC? How?
