Some lowbies started to loot him, I relieved him of his two daggers. The lowbies returned most his things except his coins I believe.

Kagan Kagan 38 v Hrimoyan 40 -

I figured that the dual dangerous daggers were my best damage option, even if it meant sacrificing weapon advantage (my other choices were not great and not wild) and, as you guessed, was going for a rush kill, that being the best plan I can come up with for rangers.

Of course it all goes to pot if a) the ranger is more or less on top of things and b) I'm totaly retarded with sanc timing.

Sadly in this case both were true.

Good show in not full looting. You'd be amazed how rare that kind of decency is (and I mean decency to me, the player, rather than to the character. Even evil characters don't have to full loot - i think it's mostly done by that common class of nerd that enjoys causing others irritation over the internet.)

Hrimoyan Kagan 38 v Hrimoyan 40 -

From what I saw, yes the dual daggers were a good damage option, though I would consider the drawback. Once done you have about 2-3 rounds of sitting there dual wielded against a bow loving ranger with pets. You being a skirmisher and the ranger being more fighter of the two, he'll naturally bring pain in a toe to toe with combat and weapon advantage (with the highest rated weapon for offensive attacks: bow).

I think with those two classes clashing, you need to be a bit more conservative and break down the opponent over time(stealing and whatnot). The backstab was fine, doing so with one dagger and keeping counterbalance would have saved you a lot of pain if you just wanted to attack. Seeing as you were in disadvantage, and arrows kill dodge in PvP (counterbalance lets you dodge arrows), the course of events wouldn't have swung so quickly.

Another main thing I would stress is a blackjack is more of an option for anything smaller than a giant, especially since you're duergar.
