WTF?

    this happened to me before. This is just a guess but I think when the hobgoblins go to respawn in the cave they poof from wherever they are. I assume this is to keep someone from summoning them away and them never being found or returning.

    I remember needing two purples after a drawn out fight, and using summon to only get one after a hobby crumbled. that was very unhelpful at the time.

    if someone is summoning them away, you'll see a hobgoblin vanish suddenly

    yeah they will vanish suddenly if summoned. Crumpling is the respawning
