help protection money'PROTECTION MONEY'
Syntax: buy protection (at Vinnie in Darkhaven)

Protection can be bought in Darkhaven. Entering protection creates an
agreement between the client and Darkhaven's most powerful organisation,
the Legion of Darkness. While protected, a person has bought immunity
from attacks from the Legion, until attacks become necessary again. If he
is killed, the Legion of Darkness shall ensure the death is avenged.

Protection (generally) holds as long as these conditions are sustained:

1) A protected person must NEVER attack a Legion or enter his cabal.
2) A protected person must not interfere with Legion kills.
3) A protected person must turn over items to in-range Legions when asked.

Failure to observe either of these terms will result in the revoking
of the Legion's protection, and one of the most barbaric murders that
the lands shall ever see.

Protection is not permanent - weekly visits to Vinnie shall be needed
to keep protection active. Anybody who fails or refuses to purchase
Legion's protection is considered to be at war with the Legion, for they [Hit Return to continue]
are uncooperative to the cause of peace under Legion's supreme rule.

* NOTE: Protection from Legion cannot be purchased when one has sworn
an Oath to the Knights and the city of Valour.

    Plinden asked me this.

What was the point of posting this? My AFK death earlier would've been more enjoyable.
  2. Clifton Hm. -
Probably pointing out bad rp and the fact that you'll probably be instant denied from justice.
  3. pip Hm. -
what the difference in Kalorn buying protection and a Knight wannabe buying protection? I've seen this alot and don't see it as bad roleplay, honestly the guy is probably tired of getting dicked around by legion or legion applicants and is just using the protection as a safehaven until he gets inducted, and after that he doesn't need protection because he can just use seringale.
  4. davor Hm. -
Why is this bad roleplay? Why wouldn't evil char buy protection, even justice applicant? I recall certain thief buying protection only to blackjack the legion 30 seconds later with his pants down. This shows that motivation behind buying it can be very diverse.
Also there is ranking to 40 with legion applicant. Elimination of part of the enemies for a while.
There is a myriad of reasons why to ban someone from justice, buying protection as applicant is certainly not one. (unless you were told specifically not to)
  5. erlwith Hm. -
Don't see how this is bad RP. He's an evil. The main point behind buying protection is primarily to stay out of legion/legion app. pk sights. All the other stuff are just stipulations to being protected, and none of it requires you break the law, which is all that a Justice app. is required not to do as far as I know. Once in Justice, obviously protection will interfere with their duties. But buying protection in a cabal is a moot point.

And bad or good RP, after almost 200 hours of play as an applicant either no one gives a crap about Justice (unlikely since Dav has [JUSTICE] tag by his name and Vhrael was here for last surge) or they really aren't interested in inducting him anyway.
  6. erlwith Hm. -
I do think it's pretty retarded and gay to post a log and blank out all of the places your name appears except for WHERE PK (stupid). save us the trouble of reading garbage like this next time.
  7. erlwith Hm. -
where pk = where. Sorry for spamming this topic. :)
  8. Nakachi Hm. -
I once had a justice applicant that purchased protection. An Imm told me to wait until it went away since it defeats the purpose of becoming a Justice if you have other obligations mandated by protection. So if you ever want to get into Justice Kalorn, you'll need to get rid of it since there is no mortal leader that can induct you.
  9. Nakachi Hm. -
    Oh yeah and holy shit:

Kalorn created on 06th of December 2008, and is currently 27 years old (204 hours played).
  10. squeeeee Hm. -
for the same reason a justice cant oath, and a Knight cant be lawlful, and a legion hopeful wouldn't get inducted while oathed, or be able to be lawful as well.

you're all dumb though, which is why I have to explain it to you.
  11. davor Hm. -
squeee... I need you to explain something to me about AR as much as I need Baer to explain me something about pussy, with subtle difference that Baer actually knows something about pussy.
  12. squeeeee Hm. -
let me break it down for you.

fire is friend. fire good. with me so far?

now, A legion cant be lawful because seeking domination, they will conflict with justice.

A knight cant be lawful because then they can't go apprehend anathema or justices who steal cabal items without a slay for breaching their ethos.

See the conflict of interest yet?

a person sure as hell wouldn't get into legion if they were oathed, because you're basically saying you're weaker than a bunch of guys legion has regular run ins with. What it is telling everyone is that you cant do the job you're saying you want to do. same with buying protection as a justice app. This is why its not good roleplay. Being in a cabal is based around core beliefs. If you're going to advertise that your core beliefs are bullshit then dont be surprised when it take you 2000 hours dicking around not getting into a cabal because you bought a flag to stay safe from the big ol meanies that hurt you so bad that you cant do a job you're saying you want to do, but you app'd for anyway.
  13. squeeeee Hm. -
A knight cant be lawful because then they can't go apprehend anathema or justices who steal cabal items without a slay for breaching their ethos.

Thats anathema hiding behind justice in seringale, ahem.
  14. kalorn Hm. -
i just hope that if i am wasting my time, that someone (Justice/IMM) in game has the courtesy to tell me such. ill do everyone a favor and delete on the spot.
  15. erlwith Hm. -
The reason Legions do not take the oath, or Knights aren\x92t protected is because Legion and Knights are sworn enemies. Why would an app. be allowed to buy protection/take the oath of the sworn enemy of the cabal they\x92re about to join? Justice is different. Justice has no enemies other than criminals, so taking the oath/protection isn\x92t allying themselves with their enemies, and thus not really bad RP. I\x92ve seen both Keeper and Justice apps with protection make it into these cabals, btw. But his protection may definitely be the reason he\x92s being forced to putz around at 40 for hundreds of hours. If you\x92re afraid to fight Legion you won\x92t make a very good Justice I guess.
  16. erlwith Hm. -
Btw Kalorn, saying you're going to delete on the spot if not inducted isn't an incentive for anyone to induct you. Just a little fyi for the next cabal app you make.
  17. kalorn Hm. -
It's not a 'im going to delete if you dont induct me' type thing. i simply don't like my time wasted. a justice had asked me before if i was protected and they didn't say a damn thing. vhrael never said a thing.

that specific character really is not worth my time if the people im supposed to be with (Justice) can't even give me a heads up.
  18. Groq Hm. -
Squeee for someone who admitted to only having one lvl 50 you talk like you've been in every cabal are a vet and knows everything.. just thought i'd throw that in there.
  19. davor Hm. -
it is just important that you try Kalor, and have fun. remember its all game. nice effort.
  20. squeeeee Hm. -
because we all know you cant have anything but a rank 50 in a cabal, right groq? And when I said one 50, I meant one 50 that I played a lot with. I dont really count some duds as the real thing when I don't play them enough to care to remember their names.
  21. rebornshad Hm. -
Squeeee shut the fuck up everyone here is better than you (not saying I am) but Groq, Clif, Davor, pip and Kalorn are all better than you
  22. squeeeee Hm. -
looks like I win the argument by logical merits. Not gonna play the argument by personal baseless insults game reb. too bad.
  23. Clifton Hm. -
Actually squeee, the complaint levied against you is that you don't have the proper credentials to judge appropriateness of the situation. While you're own personal interpretation of the RP system might be perfectly valid, the complaint is you haven't had enough exposure to the immortals RP standard to voice an opinion pertinent to the game, thereby making your comments analogous to a little kid screaming for attention on an airplane, being a nuisance.

Personally, I decided to stop paying attention to anything you say because, 1) I think you're an idiot in terms of AR matters and therefore 2) you don't understand what you're talking about. See, I'm a big fan of doing that myself, talking for the sake of talking, but for this to be effective, you need be completely obnoxious and straight out flame, or realize that you may very well be wrong.
  24. Clifton Hm. -
In game stuff should not be posted here.
  25. Baer Ack! -
Wow Davor, haha, you are correct. I am a pussy guru. I own that shit, yo.
