    Without seeing your equipment, I'm not sure if you're wearing an afflictive_break item.

    Colour spray has a very high dependency on aff_break, so something with a high # aff_break, which you can put on halfway through a battle (to negate the HP loss) would be a handy trick, if you don't do that already.

    For Casden:
    A couple things. First would be dispelling magic after his aura drops anyway is most likely a complete waste.

    Ditto what stephen said about aff_break.

    Against a fire giant, if you're landing your mental spells with ease, might want to pile on a feeblemind, that makes your blur more effective and your illusions hit slightly harder.

    If you get the reaction time for it, when he bashed, if you immediately send down one of your spectres/dragons/griffons, it should get a round in on him before he can flee away from it.


    For Snod:
    Ivy-covered sword is really easy to get.

    Don't bash him multiple times when you know he has his protective shield up, and you don't want to be bashing an illusionist with full dupes anyway.

    Flee/murder way more. You want his dupes hitting you a little as possible.
