Corzen 50 vs Arovir 47

   For the pally just a couple of things to take away from this log. You should switch to a two hander and use set parry or a water cube / shield. I would not duel wield against a fighter. Strike of faith only works against magic users that can cast weapon ward. When a serker rages run around until the sanc falls and defy makes disarm darn near impossible for a enraged serker.

   Corzen has access to defenders, so I would make sure that his item is missing before trying to run off the sanctuary. I really can't think of any elf pally vs. minotaur berserker suggestions. This just seems like a really one sided affair.
   
   Elf pally has healing, great but no trance so once his mana's gone he's toasty fried. Berserker has regeneration which doesn't depend on mana. Elf pally has errantry which grants him a frenzy and unlimited moves (maybe the moves would help getting away). Berserker has berserk. Elf pally has divine sacrifice which gets rid of a bunch of his health in exchange for more hit/dam. Berserker has rage.
   
   Elf pally has protection to help cut down on damage. Berserker has concentration, sideswipe, barrage, overhead, etc. to dish it.
   
   Elf pally has wrath to do a bit more damage and possibly curse target. Berserker has roar/headbutt/bodyslam to make wrath useless.
   
   Elf pally has 550hp, minotaur berserker has twice that.
   
   How would anyone suggest beating a mino zerker with an elf pally?

   I mean, I think giving elf pallys trance would overpower them. Think of how hard they would rape shamans. Bypassing shaman prot, with errantry and div sac, with a match on shaman mana regen for healing. Not pretty for shaman.
   
   But I think elf pally's should be looked at regarding how they play against warriors/beserkers. I don't think Pip or Slade or anyone would be interested in rolling up an elf pally and ranking it to 50. That's a pain in the ass.
   
   Seriously, why would anyone choose elf pally over half-elf? Half-elves get the racial legacies, better health, and a lower xp penalty so you're not getting raped by fire giant warriors at rank 42. The only redeeming quality to elves that I can see is autosneak for getting away.

   autosneak is worth the exp, and that's not just for getting away...
   
   havent bothered looking but considering 50v47 gear difference would be the biggest factor, not class selection. at 50 a pally can use defenders and save quite a bit of mana for his curing

   Elf pallys aren't as bad as your making them out to be. I have played them in the past and taken down firegiant serkers. Elf pallys are strongly dependant on equipment and sticking to a two hander when battling fighters. The lower the strength the more set parry is effective. I agree though half-elves are definately in a better postion that elves due to the exp hole.

   The exp on elf pal and drow dk is totally gay. Totally, totally, gay. Other than that I think they're both fine.
   
   As said before tho, Autosneak alone is worth the exp and that isn't mentioning the other perks.

   Yeah a lot of this is true, he really has no way at rank 47 to beat me. As far as taking the item. I kill his guard in 5 rounds or fighting...I can get it back while he rests easily. Also, we are forgetting the fact the hobble will lag him on a flee here too, that is one of the hardest things for the elf pally here, hobbled in even combat style because of giant size. It takes away that autosneak ability.
   
   Either way, Arovir I have been impressed by your skills, you are learning and you will do fine if you stick it out.

    So what's the proper cabal warfare ettiquette here? Did the paladin do right not engaging corzen when he invaded, knowing it was certain death?

    Not defending is never the right thing to do. Like Corzen said, when you put out that kind of damage it doesn't take long to drop the guardian. I'm guessing it was an offline capture so the guardian wasn't beefed up. I think what you have here is an inexperienced player with no recall. Who knows how long it would take him to get there if he was in, say, d'al kadar. Though if you see your guardian fall in that scenario, you ought to get to darkhaven to at least try to intercept Corzen.
