    With the arena, invokers can prep it. Just fill the whole thing up with springs and jet steam that dwarf's ass. I don't know how effective that would be, or if Arvar would let you do it, but that would be badass.

    Rosellin you made to very bad mistakes here. First, you didn't dispel him. This is a must. Second it doesn't look like you were using a water weapon. If you can't get the staff of storms then ffs get a water cube and enchant the shit out if it. Also, hellstream isn't all it is cracked up to be in a fight like this.

    You should be less concerned with playing tag with arvar in the arena, and more concerned with ganging the fuck out of him with your other knights who were standing there scratching their balls. Arvar is anathema so you should be trying to kill him with whatever numbers necessary.

    I don't know any of these Knights but I see at least two Justices in this log and pretty good ones. I think an assault in Seringale here would just be a pile of Knight corpses.

    Also, the invoker needs a weapon that will parry effectively while his spells do the work. A water cube would just mean that more of Arvar's attacks are landing.

Then maybe they can get lucky, otherwise they get to keep their lives. And like Blarq said, water cubes and wave churners suck. I don't care if it means you do 40 more damage per hit. I'll kill you in like two rounds anyways.

    Not really so much. He is not an evil justice, he has helped out quite a bit, even being anathema. No sense in gangbanging someone who is not malicious and definatly willing to fight. Besides, I don't like gangbangs. I would rather fight alone, and die then gang someone I didnt have to. Of course there will surely be exceptions to that, due to situations but if its not needed why do it? I will do much better in larger areas vs in the enclosed areas like that.

    He's been anathema for months now. I'd say the fact that none of the Knights can kill him one on one in that amount of time pretty much means the Situation has arisen to gang him.

    Gang attacks are definately not the way to go. I have done it in the past and know that it is not needed. Ganging makes you look weak and should be avoided at all costs. From our fights I would focus more on dispells a little more to force them to switch gear. I do not see you try it enough in our battles. Also, the call lightning was a nice switch last eve it is very effective.

    So, what I'm getting from this is that this era of AR players have a general agreement against gangbangs. It doesn't happen anymore. The original dislike for gangs seems to have not reached this generation, so they don't gang for some other reason. Most of the vets have outsourced their attention elsewhere and return to body people from time to time, but I'm very sure their reason to not gangbang is much different from yours.

    Ganging is a part of AR. It should be and it's fun (for both sides). It only becomes a problem when you aren't able (or willing rather) to fight one on one in the first place. If Knights can't kill Corzen 1v1, gang him if you've tried and failed. He's your mortal top priority enemy. Simple as that.

    Knights shouldn't duel for sport due to the inherit protection they get which causes the eventual Anathema flagging (the green light to gang by the way) of another char. Knights seems to be the "Cabals: Practice Edition" right now. Yes it's for noobs to get a feel for cabal battle but it seems like people who haven't even had a 50 (or past a 40 to be in range of 50s) before are applying to the cabal as if they should be owed a chance (then have the nerve to rage delete after one death at 40-42).

    Cabals are for (at worst) the 2nd tier and higher of AR players. (Getting to 45-50 with a previous [dedicated] char should put you in shape as a tier 2) If you aren't going to gang, let it be because you feel you are skilled enough to handle yourself (in a serious context, not just because you said so). I say that to say that it seems the real reason people don't gang now is because they're afraid of being ganged back.

    I didn't really read the log in detail, but in contrast to some of these clowns I will say that dwarf war is one of your worst matchups -Tons of HP, tons of damage, aff resistant, you name it. Don't worry about it. Dispelling is slightly overrated for an invoker unless the saves are really weak. With illus and necro you dispel and instantly have a whole army getting a round of damage through no sanc. Invoker gets it off and has to wait for the lag to get another cast off by which time they probably fled and re-sanc'ed. One no brainer tip: wear a mace. Sword should be reserved for hitting an ice or slashing vuln, thats about it.

    And as for Rosellin, fighting in the arena against me is hard for just about everyone, except maybe Trogm because atonement is gay. lol. And you're an invoker, which means arena is even worse. And I'm a dwarf, which means it's tough for you anywhere. So yeah, should've sent one of those other knights after me. Idk.
