Seriously? My gyvel fails? Lame. At this point I run around blind like a chicken without a head. Aydah is.. well I have no idea what he's doing. I end up getting away and my adrenaline finally cools and I can quit out. I was at this point 20 minutes late for work. I still had to get ready, and drive there. Needless to say, I got a warm welcome when I walked in roughly ~50 minutes late. lol.
So aside from being late for work. I'm still kind of open to tips and advice here. Be warned I take them all with a grain of salt and I may not believe you(lol.) but having never played an illus before. Like not even rolled one. Ever. I am sure I'm probably missing something...
Also, you can only duplicate creatures lower (equal to? don't think so) your level, unlike zombies.
Also, dups hit less hard than their comparative zombies, but of course Illusionist haste/enlarge helps them.
Also, clearly dupes can be dispelled, which is a great weakness for an Ill vs. mage/cleric.
Conversely, a lucky dispel and good timing on a mage/cleric means they can be dead in a couple of rounds with 3 dups... Trade off I guess.
I was always under the impression that duplicates hit as hard as their hosts whereas zombies hit less hard than their host unless you use strength damned on them.
Also, I WISH dupes last 10-15 ticks. It's like 8.
I'm not sure about the zombies and dupes damage in comparison to host mobs.. if I were to guess I'd say neither one of them does as much damage as the original. It seems like to me.. But I don't know. I've never played a necro, and this is my only illu.
Not all mobs can be duplicated.
