Didn\x92t have the logger on, we had her item, quickly got it back. I was sitting at the entrance to her path but she snuck by me. Then I waited to see what she would do, because I didn\x92t want to fight her at her cabal guardian giving her the advantage. So she went to my path. I came got dusted and the fight picks up here where she sucks me into the vortex. And yes I dual wielded forged mithril weapons.

Some of you may be wondering why I posted the last little part. Let me explain not sure about the rift death where she was or where I even was. Since I didn't even bother to scan or type where. I rem all drop all to loot everything. TOO MY HORROR you can see its pitch black frantically scanning for my candle in all hopes that she wouldn't come back and get all her stuff. I had a nice little chuckle to myself after my hands stopped shacking.

Vuln really evened out the damage. Interestingly it is being boosted nicely by small but focused buffs from cabal powers. Not only do you have forged weapons but you're also ignoring armor class (very significant with that amount of rares worn) and I think maybe also getting a small atonement hit/dam boost (I don't remember if we have that). People who are considering Keepers can use this as an example of a fight being made much closer for them damage-wise.
I don't like forged weapons that hits vulns but then the flipside of that is races with vulns tend to have something to justify those vulns.
what I can't see is why ygin would try the uncanny attack instead of taking the chance to flee. the rift was over and he would almost for sure have gotten away. come back and win round two. He's not in the right anymore. Maybe don't even abduct this guy. I don't know what to say about that.

e.g. If you had a 25% chance to dodge attacks, and someone wore a spear against you, you might have 20% chance to dodge only. That doesn't mean you will ever dodge. It could mean you manage to dodge every time for 4 whole rounds too. Its not what you'd expect but its possible.

These are enhancements on top of an RNG-based combat system.
I think the RNG decided to fuck Ygin in the ass.
What Ygin wasn't anticipating was me actually hitting dirt which was my only saving grace. As you all know the trick to playing a rogue is dirt, disarm sidestep. When the dust landed my only choice was to dirt and hope for the best.
I hit dirt did the damage and caused Ygin to flee. Round 1 went to me, Ygin changed weapons came in and probably initiated attacks was dirted again and couldn't use combat skills. So he decided to nerve me which lagged him and probably entered that uncanny right after thinking he'd disarm sidestep and I would be dead.
Really my only saving grace is the fact that with keeper skills my armor and damage was identical to his, I had three defenses while he only had dodge parry, I have blind fighting mastered where he doesn't have the skill and I used vuln weapons.
The rngs were clearly in my favor, but honestly shouldn't that be the case a rogue vs a fighter class toe to toe. Classic example of what should happen when you absorb damage like a sponge when you aren't supposed to.
And yes I did use a mithril sword and blunt hammer, forging them didn't make them do crazy ave dam, but it was enough to get the job done. Trust me this wasn't a fight where someone was beaten because they were over matched by my skill it just shows that drow hp with vuln exploit can go very wrong very fast.
Everything goes wrong when you invade, dispel curse dirt flee lag ugh just a death sentence. Here it was more to my advantage, but this was a miracle on ice.
That could be a strong factor as to why things went the way they did for her.
