I know I'm not the best pker out there by a long shot, but it seems like I got the short end of the RNG stick here. Exactly how extreme are the saves that rage gives berserkers? Icicle mangles THROUGH sanc before rage and dismembers WITHOUT sanc after rage. Ice storm mutilates, etc.

What exactly does RNG stand for and what is it per say?

I don't know that you could have done too much differently here Morgit except you didn't dispel him. It looks like you loaded up with Ice Shield, icicle, and Ice Storm. What weapon were you wielding? Did you have any afflictive breaks? Also, standing toe to toe with a berserker as a mage may not be the best idea, especially since he was still sanc'd. You just won't have enough hp to last.

He wasn't sanced, as Rovic pointed out. I dispelled him immediately after he raged. He just LOOKED sanced from the craptastic damage I was doing. I was wearing an invoker's breakstone ring which is twelve affbreak.

beats saying luck, because that could be confused with the stat

That looks a bit iffy to me. I can understand the ice storm a little bit as the helpfile even says its pretty random, but the icicle is pathetic. Maybe there is a bug with the damage reduction? or maybe you just got screwed. that sucked.

My bad, totally missed the dispel. Ya something doesn't seem right here. No sanc, 12 aff break and you're hitting his vuln...you should have done more damage for sure.

Should of hellstreamed instead of the ice spells. Unsamced it would of done a lot more damage. Still fleeing to use a star tipped would of helped too

So.... The question in my head is.... why? If unsanc, 12 aff-B, and vuln...... what gives?

Drasn is decked. Starting off morgit is minus 90 hp. No way any caster is going to stand up to,sustained damage like that. Have to skirmish.

Eh dont try standing toe to toe with a raged serker if you are an invoker, no matter how hard you hit, he will most likely 3/4 round you anyway. Best idea is to hit hard and fast, flee - use healing wands - initiate with hard hitters, repeat

Well, I didn't hit too hard, but assuming I had two demolish icicles and an annihilate ice storm, its possible he might've been dead. He was raged and couldn't flee. I understand I took my chances and lost, thats not an issue, I do it all the time. The real question is the damage. It was pathetic to the point of stupid. I'm going to treat fire zerkers as if they don't have a vuln when raged until i see differently, cause thats sure what it looked like.
