One suggestion might be try chain lightning rather than hellstream against a necro. Also, I don't know what sort of equipment you are in to be doing injures with max hp of 600, but I would invest in some hp gear.
By settling for such low hp, you're just begging to get destroyed by rng.

I've played too many elves and drow. Their defenses are shittastic. I believe there's a point made about how STR affects parry in some thread on the legit forums. Either about how to rank a mage or why is ranking so hard or something.
Anyway, this is normal low str defense behavior. I can claim this with absolute certainty. I had a thing for the elv invoker/pal/ill drow war/invok/dk before I gave up on them.
Remember that their prime race defense is dex based.

they get to be ridiculously overpowering because it takes 3 hours to set them up. I don't know why it makes sense, but you're running a gauntlet of huge time sink to get cheese kills. If I stay on 24 hours with a special class made to be useless until 24 hours is up, I'd like to 1 hit kill anyone in my pk, following the logic of necros of course.
They do happen to be the only class that can have charmies higher than level 50. Ills and dks cant charm or dupe anything higher than their level. Look up necros of the past, theres one on the tip of my tongue like Deminos or something who was a justice necro and basically ran the mud for a while. he was single handedly responsible for the new justice rule that a justice shouldn't start fights and then bring it back to seringale, for obvious reasons.
I dont know how much its possible, but try to use the racial autosneak. it must be powerful given the huge exp hole, and then a vuln thrown in a swell with no exp cost reduction.
Here's what Im calling: Elves and drow are horrendously underrepresented in the high ranks as anything but ninja/thief.
Of the 34 elves, about 4 are actually active. of the 64 drow, about 10 are actually active. Im In game often enough at the various peak times that I can quote the numbers with some accuracy. barring xenyar, who did average pk wise where someone of his skill with a fire giant would have dominated, where are the elf and drow warriors? Even their racial dex advantage doesn't make up for whatever they are lacking. When it comes to casters, people say they get a larger mana pool and equal health to a human. Thats all well and good except that less defenses because of low stats in the only defense(s) that a caster class has means that your health still goes down faster than a human's.
I'm pointing out that this kind of hosing is normal. its less to do with the vuln, although it can be argued that it broke the camels back.
It just doesn't seem like the imms to throw on a game changer like vuln to all wielded weapons, when they previously acknowledged in other threads that rangers carving items into vuln material and using a rare bow for extreme damage was so powerful that the carved arrows of vuln material should be made rare. And then that vuln to material can be shut down with a shield.
Now this vuln was added by them and it cannot be shut down. It also doesn't seem right that the imms would respond to Ygin's dominance with letting all material vuln do more damage, even a small one. Were they snooping Ygin and came to this conclusion?
Fire giants and human necros also dominate. There wasn't any vuln addition to them (although I could imagine a vuln to life/light for necros).
So what's left as the reason to why the vuln was changed to all weapons? Maybe what they wanted is to stir more people to play elf/drow actively, people looking for a challenge, as an inelegant way to patchwork a solution to soem vets feeling bored and these races being underrepresented at higher ranks.
I really can't imagine any other reason why the vuln change was considered, since we already know that these races have the lowest health and parry/block defenses.
hellstream causes you to eat two rounds for damage thats slightly more powerful than flame arrow.
on the other side of the coin would e giants. they have a vuln that owns them because they get huge health, but then they can fall back on extremely potent parry and moderately good shield block. Its a good thing they cant be invokers. We'd never see anything else,
faerie fire/fog counters autosneak, and theres armors out there that provide 2 dex AND cast faerie fire. imagine that on a warrior who is -2 dex from all the red dragon.
hobble counters autosneak, they are just as visible walking into a room as anyone else.
since the first age, standing in a dark room or area and removing light counters sneak.
savebreaks don't magnify damage beyond their maximum non saved potential. A savebreak hellstream will do just as much damage to a 0 affsave as a nonsavebreak will do to a 0 affsave.
you're qualifying what I said. hellstream is good for unsanc hits. Trust me, if you sit there spamming hellstream expecting to win, you won't.
Its a spell that requires as much planned use as any other. And it lags for 1.5 rounds, so you can divide that hellstream damage for 2 rounds, because that's what you'll be taking in damage for casting hellstream.
what is an annilihate divided by 2 rounds? two disemembers?
It used to be you could get away with spamming your nuke spell (acid blast, hellstream, whatever) but Kapruski's right, there's more strategy in it now, its like bash or whatever other skills in the game there are times when you can use it, and times when its stupid to use it.
