Why do elf paladins suck?

In addition to many other reasons because of this:

His face hard with distress and violence, the Champion faces all that
oppose Order and beckon Chaos. He is the seemingly last hope for the
over-powering evil that has been taking over. Taking a somewhat
cynical attitude toward all this, he stands ready at his post.... To
defend and fight at all cost.
The Champion is in excellent condition.

the Champion is using:
(Glowing) a silver wide brimmed bodyarmor
(Glowing) a silver wide brimmed arm plates
(Glowing) silver wide brimmed leggings

They're made of freaking iron. Really? Come on now.

    yep, isn't that great? On caid I ran in to that issue everywhere, along with being good neutral, I had shit for armor/weapon choices.. makes you feel good eh?

    this happens to a lesser extent with drow, where an anti-good item or weapon is, for some reason, mithril.

    Silver spiders to wear? When drow love spiders? forget it.

    I think that the silver wide brimmed is the most obvious example of shafting coming from poor material assignment.

    Silver spiders should be dark-silver or steel. Wide brimmed should be mithril.

    the concept seems to be that you wear armor and weapons that the other alignment cant. silver wide brimmed being mithril would prevent it from being worn by drow, even if tainted. the game revolves around these kind of ideals.
