A little backstory.

Graulog killed myself and another stone giant with the illusion specter weapon from Mundo. I think it was myself 34 and Stalal 36. I nearly killed him in Armageddon sanctuary after he summoned me, but I fell into the no-exit dungeon from moving from where he summoned me, since I had no robe to wear. Some fartmonger deleted the previous post about it. Every time graulog has killed me it has been as full a loot/sac as he can do.

After killing two people 6 ranks under him, he was immediately inducted into Legion.

The Temple of Balance
You have entered the Temple of Balance, the worship place for people of
neither the Light nor the Dark. Rows upon rows of benches sit before you,
capable of holding a good couple of hundred people, all facing towards the
eastern end of the room where on a raised dais the altar sits, along with
the High Priest's lectern. Stained glass windows depict colorful scenes of
Gods and mortals, and there are many torches lining the walls to
illuminate the large room. These stay lighted even during the day, for the
stained glass windows let in little light. The ceiling arches high above
your head, supported by solid wooden beams. Tapestries hang over the empty
parts of the wall, some with scenes from the past but most just
decorative. You can return to the southern road to your west, or go
towards the altar to your east.

50 malsave with save spell isn't working.

    failing to disarm a shield while dual wielding, being blinded instantly with 50 save, getting only 1 attack in a round with dual wielding weapons.. fml.

    You should've berserked when he was in awful, then fled and re-initiated.

    I would go barrage or hobble over shield disarm. Barrage accomplishes what shield disarm does and more. Definitely carry more gyvels.

    And, try not to out your characters so much.

    Shadok's comment also reminded me: berserk early. It reduces mental damage, mitigating your vuln slightly.

    Don't know if he had protective shield, but if he didn't, a bash would have killed him.

    Shield disarm wasn't a bad choice, but when you're that low on health, something else may be more appropriate.

    First thing which came to mind was the lack of gyvels. If you're buying potions for ranking, remember to take the gyvels out after doing 'put all.potion (container)'.

    A kick might have done the job. It's actually nice damage output, can't be blocked by protective shield or weapons, and only has a one round lag. Giants have a stronger one IIRC, though I have mainly used it as elves or drow (and killed people because I'd done it one last time).

    Has anyone ever had a purple cure blind pretty neat that it worked or lucky. Were you in a full set of gear for this fight because your damage wasn't very good. Kick is an excellent suggestion and I personally wouldn't even where mal saves. Most players don't master their spells so you have a decent chance that they will lose concentration and you can get free attacks with just murder flee.

    Carrying gyvels is an obvious point, but here is a dirty trick, turn off yell so they won't know if you are blinded or not can buy you a few rounds of them not knowing you are blind or not as long as you don't initiate it really throws people off their game.

    if you can pull this off change your mal gear into damage gear towards the end of the fight. you might have killed him when you were both at awful and you got that murder in, but under duress it is not easy to do.

    to explain the yell trick they blind you, you flee quaff a gyvel, they attack again you don't yell help someone is attacking me. They have no idea if you are still blind

    If I berserk and it fails, I'd be open to 3 round lag and no profit. If it succeeds I'd do a maim or disembowel, which wasn't enough to finish him.

    My damage was terrible because of wearing lots of saves to try to keep from being blinded/cursed/dysentery. I actually was carrying a gyvel earlier and was blinded on the first try again, so quaffed it already.
